There are so many good thrift stores in LA. There is urchin vintage in eagle rock which is a little more curated because it is a vintage store but it has really good pricing and I feel like you would find a lot of the pieces inspiring. Culver city has a good one called Timeless Treasures. It is affiliated with a charity so it has kinda weird hours but when I went I had very cool vintage pieces. There is a council thrift store in Westwood by santa monica blvd that I found pretty good things at, like a vintage embroidered vest. All the thrift stores I've mentioned I have loved but if people are really into unique pieces and vintage shopping I always would recommend Urchin bc they have a lot of very cool things for good prices. It also is right by donut friend which is known for making donuts that you can add your own toppings too and it has a vegan donut option.

Just Reni okay what I do is just buy things that are oversized and make it work or you can always tailor things!! Sometimes there are goodwills/2nd hand stores who actually help you tailor things (the one where I live does this once every week, because a lot of people who don’t have a lot of money shop there so they also don’t have the money to bring clothes to a tailor)

Oo! I have some LA recs. I usually always find something at Squaresville in Los Feliz! There's also the big flagship Goodwill in Atwater. You might also have luck at Sunday’s Best in Echo Park -- that one is always hit or miss for me but there's a cute store cat!

Echo Park is a super cute area, Sunday's Best is the name of the thrift store, it's a little smaller, but they have some fun pieces and the pricing is fair for a non-chain thrift store. Echo Park is also just a really cute area to walk around, they have a beautiful park on the lake and a bunch of cute boutiques and some vegan food! The goodwill near Wilshire is crazy and super big, its kind of a nightmare, but like half my closet is from there, it can just get dirty & hot! I've heard good things about the Society of St. Vincent thift store too, but I have never been personally! Have fun in LA!

omg can't believe I almost forgot, but the goodwill bins a little north of the city is AMAZING. It's the cleanest bins I've ever been too! I have found so many good pairs of shoes, vintage levis & designer sweaters, it's phenomenal, seriously worth the uber if you have time to make it out there! I think I could spend like 6 hours there easy!

Check out junk for joy when you’re in LA! I go there every time I visit and I’ve gotten some of my favorite lifetime pieces there, stuff is relatively cheap and they can also tell you the history behind a lot of items

so people either love or hate this one, but the NCJW thrift store in hollywood is my favorite! there are prices for each section that say like "$8.00 and up" or whatever so you don't know the exact price of what you found until you get to the register, but I've found some of my favorite pieces there and sooo many cool vintage things! also stop by BarkNBitches across the street from it to pet puppies (: American Rebel is also a cool vintage store on melrose, a little expensive but they a ton of boots and jeans too. the melrose trading post on sundays is fun, the vintage stuff is a little overpriced sometimes but I've found some cool stuff there too

My best thrifting advice is to research the flea markets (Mel rose is amazing\\. Obviously carry a bunch of cash there and you won’t get charged credit card fees or have to Venmo anyone selling) that’ll be open the days your there and go early to those and have breakfast and then walk around! Also Los Feliz has my favorite happy hour ever at figaro bistro it’s super your vibe and next to a great thrift store, art book store, and independent theatre! Not to mention it’s down the street from a boutique that sells gorgeous small batch clothing :) Have fun!!!

Squaresville in los feliz is seriously the coolest vintage store ever, not a thrift store technically and the things are a little pricier but SO worth it! also there are always flea markets in california on sundays !

melrose trading post in LA! also american vintage on melrose is nice, but on the pricier side. I would also recommend hitting up the goodwills located in the outskirts of LA, in more of the suburb towns bc they are way less picked through!

Magnolia Blvd is a cute little street in North Hollywood with tons of thrift stores and vintage shops! Most of them are right by each other, but make sure you head down a little further towards Victory Blvd for American Way and Unique Vintage :)

Ugh this is like the first sip of a fruit-infused water, it’s so satisfying. Where in California are you staying? LA is such a sprawl, but Out of the Closet has cool weird things, Melrose Trading Post is a goldmine (though it’s sometimes a little more furniture-centric), and the Goodwill on Fairfax and Beverly will definitely serve you well.

Some good la thrift stores are: Squaresvillie The Left Bank (this is more a more curated resell shop, they have vintage and consignment but this place is the best) Council Thrift Shops Lemon Frog Shop Vintage Bazaar and then the Melrose Trading Post flea market is good :) Can't wait to see all your thrift hauls.
