Only familiar with White Plains Road (the street my dad lives on) and New York City, so Brimfield - in New York or not? And the flea market/tent shops is that seasonal or all year?

Sorry, we should have been clearer about the location. Brimfield is in Massachusetts, about a 2 hour drive from Boston. The antique market happens three weeks out of the year. You can find out the exact dates at their site brimfieldantiquefleamarket.com/

Hi nice video- it seems there's not much in the way of "digging" left nowadays..it appears all the booths/tents are run by seasoned dealers, wife and I are thinking of attending the brimfield show next week..similar tastes as yours 20's-50's...how are the prices ? are they ebay prices or did you find much in the way of bargains ? Any headsup for first timers cheerfully appreciated.

Hi Kar Ser, Glad you enjoyed the video. You're right, there's not as much "digging" as there was before. My best tip would be to get there VERY early, around 4 or 5am. I've heard that's when all the really good stuff gets sold, although I've never made it that early myself. There's also the Sturbridge Textile show that is on Monday (or Tuesday?) the same week as Brimfield. You'll need to google that for more info. I've been told the best vintage pieces can be found there. The prices at Brimfield are fair but I doubt you'll find any rock-bottom prices. Hope that helps!

thanks for the prompt reply. I checked the Sturbridge event..again like most places these days, its everything BUT americana vintage..more like victorian bedsheets/linens/curtains/buttons etc. Not the ideal pop-culture vintage unfortunately. Also, your hubby/bf walked away with just a scarf from "the mother of all vintage events" suggests there was very little offer of period mens gear (or too overpriced)..

There is indeed not much in the way of menswear at Brimfield but also Matthew is very selective about what he buys and we were there on a Saturday so everything was pretty picked over too. Sturbridge does have 20's-50's clothing, the site may not represent that but I know its there, I have friends who have made amazing finds there.
