I bought my first Garrett detector, a grand master hunter cx2 back in the late 80's and it was everything i hoped for. I really respect mr Garrett and all he has accomplished. I remember back around 2000 or so if you went on Garrett's site they had a really cool thumbnail index of all the detector models they ever built and specific reasons why each was a step forward. Wish they still had that. Somewhere in the headquarters there is a room that has them all displayed. I wish they would have that available under history on their home page again like they used to. Nice to know the family is carrying it all on.

What a privilege to see inside the Garrett factory and see some of Mr Garrett's original inventions. It is good to see the company still provides employment for many people in today's world of down sizing. I still own and enjoy using my Garrett A2B even if she is still 'long in the tooth'. I think she is still one of the most robust detectors I have ever owned, thanks for sharing your visit to the Garrett.

It shows it can be done if you really believe. Also highlights why no one rarely does it anymore. If you are not already established it is hard to compete with Chinese slave labor.

And that was such a nice tour - great people!

Love your videos Nugget so glad that Garrett is taking care of you! You've done so much promoting Garret products I now own both the pro and the gold very happy with both and customer service rocks! I was gearing up for a chilly hunt had my pro leaning against the jeep it fell over and the housing broke off glad I had both so I grabbed my gold and hunted anyways boxed it all up sent it off to Texas they fixed her all up for only 35 bucks! Was very happy with that. Just wish they could sell boxes of time I get it back and my dispatcher asks me to work. Oh well easy run down to Chicago and back I got the pro all ready to go after work👍

Most wonderful tour..enjoyed it...love the Garrett Company...they sent me many of those plastic bolts and nuts for the coil and arm braces that broke for FREE shipped to me even. I have six Ace 250 coils that are wearing thin just from normal use- long hours of detecting close to and on the ground...I re-solder the exposed worn down wires and then layer them with monkey glue type epoxy to keep the buffer and protect the coil wires. Garrett's prices and equipment are good...just wish the coils were a bit less expensive. coils take a lot of beating and wear.
