I really appreciate this series that you're doing and identify with a lot of your issues. I have the same problem with different sized locs in the back (I did them myself). I should have done a brick pattern and made some of them smaller. I found a goood loctician who is going to comb out the big ones and resize them next week (I'm not that far into my journey). Can't wait! 🤗

I just took down my last set of locks May 18th and restarted that same day, so I'm on lock set number four. I was so focused on having a high number of locks that I didn't realize I wasn't getting the size that I wanted. It took me until this last set to realize what the problem was and what I wanted and now I'm totally happy

I dyed my hair right before I started my locs which was a bad idea because it changed the texture of my hair. I started crying I think lol because my friend was on her way over to start my journey and I didn’t want to do it anymore because I didn’t think they would look right. I kept it in protective styles, But anyway I didn’t shampoo at the bowl or co wash for 6 months. I used TW spray shampoo to clean them . And October 23 I shampooed for the first time! And my hair texture came back. They’re curly at the ends and they’re starting to bud. Now I feel comfortable shampooing them when I get my hair done and moisturizing them with water in between. And I feel comfortable wearing them down at least in the back. The front of my hair always takes the longest to grow and no matter what when I use to straighten my hair every once in a while it turns my hair bone straight I lose my texture forever until the knew growth comes in. But my locs have made such progress and I’m at the 6mos. mark. And I get more excited everyday. I enjoyed this video. I just thought I share my story lol . 🌞✨💜

Heyy! I wanted to ask you a question! When you twisted your hair did you do it loosely or tightly (twisting the two strands before wrapping them around eachother ) ? Because i think i did that & it made them pretty skinny, im nervous they wont expand right
@DESZREN4 жыл бұрын
I retwisted regularly, mine never really feel tight. When I do the two strand twist it tightens the individual locs so it's def not necessary to over retwist the locs! I also never keep the two strand twists in for long so I never really worry about my locs thinning from them
