Mike Nichols’ 2003 Oscar winner, The Graduate, is a movie that would have absolutely been released with an R rating if it would have come out in 2023. There’s no way the seduction by Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft) and her affair with Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) would go over well with the MPAA and its PG-13 rating nowadays.
