Dude fucking props to Dave and the editing crew. This is my favorite My War video. As a 23 year old who always wanted to skate growing up and just never did, I finally am. And how Dave describes landing a trick only lasts like 1.2 seconds but can make your whole day or whole year, I feel that. Obv his tricks are much much much better than mine, but I feel what he's saying. Practicing FS180s for 14 hours and finally landing one, it feels like you're conquering the world

I broke my left and right side of my ribs a cupla months ago skating then when i was better i went skating again- slammed my temple on the concrete got a concussion.. im still feeling dizzy and fucked from that head smack and it was like 3 weeks ago. Any sort of head injury is fucking terrifying and so much wore than broken ribs. Your brain is your everything.

This series "my war" is cool, reminds me of my early days, my first like year of skating. There was a 4 set at a school that had really wide stairs so it created a pretty big gap. I'd sit in school all day just thinking about those stairs. I'd brush off everything and everyone and head strait for that set for several days until I finally nailed it. I'll never forget that

This is why I always wear my helmet when I'm skating. I don't wear it when I'm just practicing flatground tricks, but I wear it anytime I'm actually skating an obstacle or cruising around doing tricks. Saved my head a couple times
