Interior major here! I think opting for a light color scheme would enhance the room's appeal, especially since it would complement the flooring and ceiling. Black might make the room feel stuffy, whereas lighter tones would impart a sense of airiness, it would look sleek and spacious. Arguably my favourite vlog so far. It's obviously not peak 2017 logging and all that but it didn't need to be. While Simon may thought this vlog was 'terrible' and 'didn't do anything', it was nice for it to just feel like as if we were all sat just hanging out while he tidied his wardrobe. In a weird way it feels more relatable and human because cleaning is just one of life's many chores. Sometimes its nice to just have relaxing content and not things moving at a million miles an hour. Keep it up!

I wanna start off by saying i genuinely enjoyed this video, but does anyone else think how odd it is we just watch another human do basic day to day things and find it enjoying. I wonder what the physiology behind it is that makes it so pleasing. Is it because we like Simon or because the content is genuinely enjoyable or is it both? in no way am i an interior designer, but here's my idea for the wardrobe since you asked (even if rhetorical): sand down the wood just to remove any varnish and the reddish-orange tone, but don't sand away the detailing (and maybe stain it darker). paint the insides of all of the cubbies and drawers either black or dark grey, along with the exterior of the drawers - leaving the wood detailing both to tie in the wood on the shelves you've gotten, but also for added warmth and depth. and maybe replace the knobs and railings so it matches better than silver (maybe wooden railings and gold knobs) !! would also maybe recommend hardwood floors as opposed to carpet and maybe also painting the ceiling, just because with everything else being dark it could end up looking odd.
