First of all: Warming up is a very important part, that's often overlooked. Therefore it's really cool you took on this subject. In general just an amazing, generous person and sportsman - true legend of the sport. Keep on with it!! But!!! Some additions for your warm up routine... First of all you wanna warm up your body and get your circulatory system started, before you take on stretching (more on that later). Your joints, muscles, tendons and fibres need to warm up (your blood needs to flow into muscles and joints need to "oil" [with synovial fluid] and so on...). Therefore circulating arms, wrist and joints and light jogging or ropeskipping would be much more suitable. Second point: Intensiv static stretching isn't the perfect choice *before* training (addition: especially right before intensiv training just because it reduces your muscle to us). You can do light static stretching (after the warm up process I've mentioned) just to get flexible. Perfect would be trying to stretch dynamic = in the movement. Real intensiv stretching always post workout/training. Your activation routine is great using a muscle band is very suitable for doing that. Especially great that you mentioned also to remember you back (and legs) not only doing push ups. I really hope I didn't offend you I'm sure you know what you're doing!! Just some advice from a more (sport)scientific perspective that I think would improve it and would be important to know especially for the younger players who need to learn basic rules, for warming up correctly. Apart from that how I mentioned great often overlooked topic - keep on Timo! 🏓
@timoboll83813 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. You are right. My warm up routine is maybe scientifically not the perfect one, but I feel comfortable with it and I feel ready to play without worrying to get injured immediately after the first topspin. 😉
