Timo, you are an absolute legend and I have learnt so much from you over the years. I have your bat and play with T05 on both sides. And I am a leftie too. I hope once you have retired you will be able to make more table tennis videos to share your talent and knowledge with the world!

When playing a competition, do you always use same side for backhand or forhand, my bat has same rubber both sides?

euhh, all+ innerforce layer zlf may behave even like off- with certain rubbers (i.e. not at all the slowest one). for really slow one he should have taken bty innershield zlf...

I think there is a little problem in table tennis about what racked should be used at what point learning. With slow racket you need to hit more hard (Technique is lost when one hits too hard) With fast racked you get speed with medium shot (This gives one ability to concentrate on technique instead of trying to add power to shots) Other thing is, what is the point of learning some crappy technique that is dependent on racket forgiving bad shots, when you can start learning good technique from beginning and the racket will tell you if you are doing it right by landing the ball on opponent side. I would say start with fast racket and add more power to your shots as you get better and more confident. As "start" I'm not talking about children players who can barely hit the ball, I'm talking about those who are developing loop, drive etc. for competitive play

it might be silly to say but It's awesome to see how Timo keeps his eyes on the ball up until he hits it. Every. Single. Time.

Pure perfection, so easy to understand even for someone who let's say doesn't know much about table tennis. I checked a lot of videos on this topic when I was buying blade and rubbers, this one is definitely the best explained by far, visually and by words. Hope it ll be more content like this for us beginners. 🙏💪

Thanks for the advice. I have been playing table tennis for about 10 years and have been losing almost 90% of matches. This gives me too much stress 😬 and not enjoying anymore table tennis. I am just playing to win which almost never happened. My mental strength collapses during a match especially in the last round. Many people are telling me to stop playing if it gives me stress and I think they are right but I just can't stop... I have tried to overcome my weak mentality by stopping table tennis a month when I get too much stress, having lessons by professional players, buying good quality equipment, etc. Well, at the end of the day, I lose. 😢 Trying to be positive and trying to enjoy table tennis itself but it's too hard. Sorry about my complaints.
