Wrightgrip was the gateway drug for me. It's an epiphany to use that open end and have total confidence for the first time. I LOVE my wrightgrips. I *so* wish they would make a crowsfoot set with that open end design. I'd buy every one of them.

I have some Wright 3/4 impact sockets. I don’t think I will ever break them.

Hello there I am planning on getting some 3/4 inch drive sockets as well from weighttool. How are your sockets holding?

I LOVE Wright Tools, have all of the models of that ratchet, 1/4 though 1/2, including the one you warrentied. Mine has held up no problem, but to be fair I have only used it in low torque situations.

I'm an old school Craftsman guy, but I bought some Wright wrenches to replace lost tools and I have to say that Wright wrenches are longer, have better ergonomics and are just nicer to use.

What's up Bryan!! Great video, and I happy to hear/see that you're using @WrightTool tools. That original ratchet certainly appears to be inadequate in terms of the head sizing. I think most manufacturers realize that tools are going to be used to their maximum capability, so it's not a good idea to cut corners... That said, it appears they've implemented a few design changes to combat unintentional failures in the field. Also, thank you for confirming the part number was indeed the same, as my initial concern was, that they'd simply given you a 3/8" in a smaller 3/8" body... Keep the content coming and I appreciate your insights!

I love my Wrightgrip 2.0 but aside from waiting for a replacement to come in the mail, there are no dealers locally. Also no way to physically inspect a tool before purchase. As much as I want to get more from Wright, their accessibility seems very limited. I will however vouch for their wrenches, I’ve got combination wrenches (Wrightgrip 2.0), Double open end and double boxed end sets and they are all outstanding. They seem pretty indestructible

Have you used another brand for the 3/8 drive in a 1/4 body to compare? Maybe your expectations are too high. I don’t think their intended to break loose seized bolts, just to run them out or in.

There are other compact head 3/8” drive ratchets available. A 3/8” anvil in a body designed for 1/4” seems like the wrong way to do it, and this video illustrates it. Why would they use the same part no. for the improved tool, though? They could add a letter suffix. Maybe their inventory system won’t support it.

For those that have them. Those open ends look fairly thick? Even as an ag/truck guy I end up in spaces that aren't friendly to thick wrenches.

Hey Bry, I have the Wrightgrip 2.0 SAE set to 1 1/4 plus a set of polished double open end and satin double offset boxed wrenches. They are the best gripping most heavy duty wrenches I’ve ever come across. Now I’m an industrial mechanic maintaining an Ice factory so I’m only under a hood once or twice weekly. I would have their 55” box top and bottom loaded with their sockets, ratchets and everything else if they had some kind of distribution in Los Angeles. I know McMaster Carr Carrys them as that’s my source for Williams and Proto most of the time but I’d like to be able to see the tool in hand before I buy it.

Hey, thanks for the upload, man. I actually just bought a set of their Wright Grip 2.0 wrenches. I got them on a nice sale and I've been concerned about using them (rendering them non-returnable) before I know what the warranty process is. Did you have to register your products? Did they ask you for proof of purchase? I bought new, but from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. I'm thinking I'll be fine, but doesn't hurt to ask others what their experience was.

They did not ask for proof of purchase or registration. Just send them a pic of the broken item.
