This helped me a lot....i mean a lot! We recently adopted a baby girl (She's 3) but we had no idea how to do her hair and she has a lot of it. I knew it was really important to keep her curl pattern but we had never dealt with her hair type. This helped a lot, although we use less product and only pick it out. I wanted to do braids at first but after watching your videos I was like how would you get a 3yr old to sit for that long and do the up keep 😳😳 no way lol. She loves the wash-n-go method, thanks!

Hi there! So my daughter is biracial and it has taken a lot of education but I applaud your interest in the knowledge to do your daughter's hair. As for getting a 3 year old to sit, my daughter can sit for over an hour now for me to put in braids. It has taken us a while to get there, but we did it! We just make it part of her routine, give her something to distract her, and now she loves it! Some days are easier than others, but now we can do braids no problem. Thanks!

I comb only with conditioner in rinse use a morracan hair oil bit of leave in conditioner for anti frizz and aveada curly product .wrap up then let out and scrunch it a bit

hey girllll, so I used to have the same problem and i thought i would share the way i fixed it! basically i comb just the bottom part of my hair when i condition in the shower, and then once im out and my hair is still wet, ill go through my hair with my hands and with leave in conditioner while twisting the curls! hope it works if you try !

I would try this routine but my hair used to be the same length as yours but I cut it mid neck around thanksgiving and it looks like an Afro when I leave it out. And I have to tie my hair often bc I wear the hijab so I would try this when my hair grows out longer lol

i have ALWAYS been told that if you get any product off of amazon, or like at cvs or Walgreens, it’s most likely to be watered down. That makes the chances of the product to kick in and interact with your hair less likely. I always get my deva curl products from the salon, where they also say the chances are for it to be less watered down.

I don’t have natural rough curls like yours but I have naturally frizzy wavy hair. I’m hispanic but have I guess “white girl’s” hair that isn’t rough, but it’s still frizzy and SO TANGLY ALL THE TIME. I absolutely hate brushing my hair. I have no idea what products to use because I’m the only one in my fam with this hair type. I tried oils but most of them make my hair too greasy and heavy, even with a little. Like when my hair’s wet and I add these oils or leave ins and it dries gross lol. SOMEONE HALP P.s. One thing I did find that helps, if someone has my hair struggles, is to use lots of conditioner in the shower, leave it for a couple min and wash it all out, I also switched to sulfate free a couple months ago AND LEMME TELL YOU IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE 100%. Then I dry my hair with an 100% cotton towel, and sleep on my wet hair. In the summer time when it’s hotter it usually drys when I’m up and air drys fine but in the winter it doesn’t really dry so this method doesn’t really work out. I’ve stayed away from heat for a lil over a year and that makes a huge difference in the health of my hair

Luce and Van hi I am white , I have curly with friz, it looks a lot like her’s when carefully done. Before the dry combing not as much volume but same size ringlets. I shampoo no more than twice a week and co or conditioner only wash a few, I can only comb wet with conditioner in, rinse, then I add a hair oil product , leave in conditioner and aveda curly cream my hair is still pretty wet as this go in then I wrap and scrunch let out and go I never dry my hair but if I wanted to a diffuser would be needed. I hope that helps. Also if you ask around for a hairdresser that is good with curly hair a good cut helps layers to keep the weight right and open up the curl pattern

your comment is pretty old but if you see mine then i hope i help: from what you said about your hair, it seems as though you don’t deep condition, i would recommend putting any oils in your hair before you shower and let them sit for a while first (i am no hair professional but this is what ive seen work for both me and others) :-)

I️ use a hair oil and use only a tiny tiny bit like a drop and just use it through the ends; then use deva curl and I️ don’t rub it into the scalp mainly focusing on the bottom half of the hair. I have found this keeps my hair from looking oily!

Luce and Van Use aloe vera, some olive oil, and a good conditioner as a deep conditioner. Then cowash, detangle, and condition. And put gel in and scrunch. Then pin your hair up at the roots, and diffuse Also, a good hair cut might come in handy. If your hair is long, then that weight could be weighing down your hair.

You have hair like that because it’s in your DNA you were born with this hair you have just kept it maintained and your curls are naturally like that you just moisturized it and gave your hair a blow dried big curly look . It’s not gonna be that easy for everyone’s hair to be like your . But I still live you and your amazing . 😂😂

Girl I feel you my hair is naturally curly too and it’s a 50 50 depending on how often you like to style your hair. They do get on the way and annoying but they are also cute. So it’s up to you girl. If you are feeling that style go for it. It’s never too late ♥️
