The balance that you’re maintaining while making progress with your game is simply astounding. Working a full-time job, having a social life, doing KZbin, and making consistent progress on your personal endeavors - this is what I aspire to be. Great content dude, keep it up!

so wholesome, so balanced :') this video made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside! i had a thought for the multiplier - maybe every 5 or 10 multipliers the colour of the light can change or something? I know when there's a subtle change like that in a game, i get so thrilled when i see a new colour that i haven't seen before (aka beat my score) - like an extra visual reward!

REPIX MEDIA When you really don’t feel motivated it’s often best to do something else for a while. A day, a week, a month. Whatever you need. Don’t force yourself to work on your project, it’s just going to make you feel worse for not being able to live up to your own goals. For me, it helps having several unrelated projects to work on and taking long walks in the forest to clear my mind. It’s totally normal to not work on the same thing all day every day. I hope you can find back to your motivation!

Awesome video as always the 11 minutes flew by and awesome too see how you balance you life! Now a suggestion I have for your game is that when the player's score starts ramping up as well as the multiplier you should implement a system where the circles start to decrease in size to ramp up the exhilaration of the game. I think this would add a nice touch as it creates situations where the player becomes a bit stressed as they want to keep their multiplier high as well as maximise their score! Either way awesome work and I look forward to the next video :)

Fantastic suggestion! Great way to prevent really huge scores. Made a note of it! Thanks for the kind words :)

@@DevDuck No problem sir as someone who has just finished high school these videos are very inspirational on how to balance the hobby. I find myself spending so much time at my desk and that's why I go on dry runs when making my game. Going to start taking your approach! :)

Hey! In regards to the corruption bar, have a larger black outline around the full hp of the corruption. When you do damage, unlock the other bar shrinking, the outline bar does not.

Another option is to slight increase the rate at which the players circle fills making them have to move faster. I think this would need a max rate through as it's something that cannot increase exponentially forever.
@DevDuck5 жыл бұрын
Yeah! I actually have that on my backlog this week.

@@DevDuck Oh also the pulsing effect on the pickup helps but I feel it would be easier to see if there was subtle blue glow. Just a suggestion though.
@DevDuck5 жыл бұрын
I might try that - after testing on an older Android device, I’m trying to keep extra lighting effects to a minimum for the sake of performance.

@@DevDuck FREE? or.. FREE TO PLAY?? very different animals.. one is honorable the other is easily manipulated to make players pay far too much money, usually more than the game is usually worth in the first place.
