When the Everglades flooded 40 years ago they trapped Deer on the Islands and transported them by boat , a few died from the Stress but not our Lucy ! She has sea legs .

Lol was just thinking of y'all, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I got 5 hours w/my deer on the wee hours of Saturday morning, overwatch while they slept, but Easter Sunday morning was beautiful weather, I got to walk meandering with them for 6 hours in their "non private yard" wooded areas, had a wonderful time, mingled w/local herd🥰 (I see Chris is more accepted now by your extra family herd much the same)late Sunday night my buddies were in my back yard @ the house, seeing what the grilled chicken had been about earlier on the mid-ned stretch! Lol, like Lucy they become family! That bond is so important to them. Such a hoot to see Captain Lucy on board! She must feel safe out there on her mobile island! Thanks so much for all the work putting these vids together, love keeping up w/the other deer-people families! God bless, & I should watch the vid now🥰

@@TwinEagleRanch Well you guys are lucky too, we are all blessed in different ways, & we are lucky to see our blessings. We are sort of "tour guides" in a sense sharing our deer, what we learn, & our blessings w/others, but you & Chris are a heck of a team & can put out quality vids where as I can't (because if private property past deer!). Our respective deer have a safe property to live on and all they need. Including you guys(& other herd) to be with. It seems to mean a lot to my deer to spend time with them. We offer peace of mind rather than a situation that stops their activities & stresses them as they have to figure it out. Lucy sure loves you two! Similarly to your ranch we have coyotes foxes, etc predators that occasionally pass through my deer's suburb/rural territory, & we have TRAFFIC. I can recognize my "family" 1000 feet away by how they react to people & traffic, very low key and deliberate. They walk BEHIND cars, when they cross streets they cross @90°angle under a streetlight, (*with their field of vision the light doesn't blind them when more directly above)so funny to see walking down sidewalks @ not J-walking when they get to a corner, or cross a street, momma is like a crossing gaurd, she halts them, expresses mild concern, thenwhen feels safe grunts & crosses very calmly, very relaxed, & they follow single file all together..so beautiful to see🥰 To have been close to & work w/wild deer who had no reason to visit me other than their experiences in my presence for 20 years has been amazing, this past year Momma Zoe actually left me with the kids & told me to "stay", before I was just welcome to meet the kids, & not a threat..I have learned so much more THIS year.. whitetail communication is so subtle, but w/exposure to them like we have we get to see more than alert & running away! We don't hear them talking much on vids, but to hear that call as they enter the yard, walk up to you & bed down next to you after they have been eating is so sweet. This time of year they nuzzle then head for the leaf piles! They pick comfy spots, forget just hay, layer leaves in, see what happens! My sweeties love their leaf piles! The more the better🥰 You guys have a blessed day after reading all this, lol, I had to get back to work! It is good to see other folks seeing & appreciating what I see too, God bless!
