So this whole time Mary already knows him since Mc future self has visited Mary so many times but Mc before the time travelling didn't know that.

Looks like incomplete ending or open ending. He requested the monk to see young Mary again but only allowed for a day. So the open ending could be sad if he returns to his 29 or happy ending if he stays as 8 years old

I skipped to the end. Mc and mary waved to each other. She is a child and mc promised to see her again. I guess it is a open ending.

@gremlinsmasher9720 I think It's a sad ending.. Remember what the baldy said, That he has only one day before he returns to his timeline? So him saying to mary, see you tomorrow makes it more said 🤧
