My Wife Has Colon Cancer Update (HALF WAY!)

In this video, Chandler David Smith updates his subscribers on his family situation regarding his wife’s colon cancer diagnosis and treatment. Several Months ago, Chandler’s brother was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, and just weeks after that, his wife was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. At the time of this video, they had completed the sixth of 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and were preparing for the seventh round. Many people wonder things like; is colon cancer curable? God bless you i had colon cancer at 24 but it didn't spread yet...had surgery and i have been leaving with a colostomy bag for 15 years....i am still able to work as a construction worker because i refuse to give up...thank god I'm cancer free now but the bag is permanent.... don't give up

My cousin who is like my best friend had colon cancer in her early 30s after she had gone through skin cancer in her 20s. Since then they’ve found cancer 2 more times for a total of 4 diagnosed cancers before the age of 40. I’m happy to report that she has been cancer free for the last 7 years and is on immunosuppressive therapy. I am new to your channel. I am so sorry for your loss. I am currently at this very moment watching Maddie’s videos and trying to choke down my go lightly . I am so afraid I have colon cancer. Tomorrow morning at 7 am is my colonoscopy. I had blood work done because I to have been bleeding in my bowels and the blood work showed the tumor markets for colon cancer are elevated. My Dr called to get me this colonoscopy ASAP. I’m scared but found this channel and I see how strong Maddie was while doing chemotherapy. I pray I will be just as strong if this is my fate. Chandler, I'm sorry for your loss. Maddy was a fighter and always remembered. This is not goodbye it is see you later. I truly believe in God's plan. We found out that on January 31, 2023, my wife, who was 36 at the time of her diagnosis, has stage 4 colon cancer. The doctors found she has a genetic disorder called MSH6 Lynch syndrome. So, instead of chemo, they are treating her with immunotherapy. The cancer is shrinking, but it has been so hard on our family a lot of sleepless nights. I really appreciate your videos. I was hoping for a different outcome for your family. You truly inspire me to keep helping my wife and kids. Also, when you get the diagnosis as a family, even though you have all of your family and friends and faith, it can still get very lonely. God bless your family.

Thank you for sharing this! I was hoping for an update on your journey. I am 31 and was diagnosed with leukemia in September and it's amazing how similar my experience has been. I have a port right now and agree it was very painful for the first 3-4 weeks.. Not many people, even nurses, seemed to understand. Same emotions with finding the right doctor and team for treatment. I go in for a bone marrow transplant next week so am half way to a cure as well. Best wishes to you both and your family and we will both come out of this better and with a new appreciation for life and what is truly important

I’m here for you both of you just want to chat. I was at stage 4 and last scans showed almost non existent so I feel your pain. I had 6 rounds of chemo and was cleared after 4 but they did 2 more rounds to be safe. Maddie you look great for what you’ve been through and Chandler I can see it has humbled you but also can see the frustration with the unknown. Ask questions, I’m not a doctor but my experience was just that an experience. Mouth sores I rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide and within 2 days it is gone. I lost all my hair, including eyebrows and eyelashes, but it only took 2 months to come back after chemo. I realized that the steroids were the culprit of the oily off taste in my mouth the first 3-5 days after chemo. I still believe in adding a holistic doctor for supplements that helps you combat the side effects of chemo as well as keep you white blood cells up and healthy. Good to see you both on camera telling the story. A good network of supportive people also helps keep your mind from going south. After watching TJ Hunt’s vlogs it changed my mindset as he ends his vlogs with Keep Moving Forward and I thought I can sit around and cry and die or I can Keep Moving Forward. The power is in what you feed your mind. Xoxo

Hey, I understand. I am a male who got breast cancer. After my surgery I had some genetic testing done and found out I have LFS (Li-Fraumeni Syndrome) Basically I'm more susceptible to getting cancer. It was rough and still working on the recovery. I am half way through treatment for pancreatic cancer. Your experience is very familiar to me. The first four treatments hit me like a ton of bricks. I was sick continually.
