Violating a sacred marital oath to get a little exploration and allegedly do a good deed is insane. Oliver was right to reject the idea entirely. He explained this directly. She thought she could bribe him with sex to get him to bless being made a cuckold. How stupid! Just raising her fantasy about being with another man is an insult and inspires distrust. There is no love if there is no Trust. Her thoughts alone are extreme disrespect and an insult to her husband as a man. She never checked with her husband. This was an absolute violation of the marital vows - instant divorce is mandated. The husband did exactly the right thing. From the wife's actions, she could never be trusted again - who knows when the next sob story from a co-worker arises to give her the reason for sex with another man, maybe another man with HIV. She claims she is a woman who gave him everything, but she failed to give him basic fidelity, a pre-requisite for a marriage. He is not "her entire world". He ranks third to her co-worker, her desire for meaningless sex, and her need for appreciation from the co-worker - Oliver ranks rather low on her value scheme. Her fantasy that Oliver will get back with her has zero chance of occurring in the real world.

This woman logic is completely off the rails ha-ha. Why is it her responsibility to sleep with her co-worker because he didn’t feel confident? She not a trained therapist and could have given him the wrong idea after she had slept with him that may have resulted in further emotional harm. She just wanted justification to cheat on her husband claiming it was altruistic act of kindness when in fact it was a selfish desire to sleep with another man. So her husband did the right thing walking away from this toxic relationship. If OP granted her permission to sleep with her co-worker who’s to say she wouldn’t have done it again and again with different men. That’s why he gave her the ultimatum if you sleep with your co-worker I will file for divorce.

S1- What a dum idea, how can forsaking your wedding vows ever be a good thing regardless of your intentions. You couldn't fully love your husband if you had sex with another mans because he was feeling down and you wanted to experience sex with a man not your husband,because you was courious. Irralivent if there were no feelings involved or malicious intent to to cheat., you flat out cheated. Dec2024: One day my GF left to join Johova Witness. A year later she showed up on my doorstep saying she wanted to show me the way to heaven. Well she certainly did that, if only temporarily.
