Yep! It's that time to learn the language of the culture you married into. That will be the biggest challenge of them all; but you can do it. You're so intelligent.💯😊❤👍
@SisHattie Жыл бұрын
Yes, and it's because it's harder to learn the older you get. For people whose brains have already adapted to learning a new language it is easier for them. Like if an American know Spanish or French already it's easier to learn an additional language. But, for the rest of us it's a real struggle, mentally, but we can overcome it and learn it. . It is said it is easier for us if you only hear a different language everyday and rarely hear English. And that can be very frustrating when you can't understand what is being said. But, it is supposedly the easiest way.

So it’s kinda like how in the states some black folks have the mentality that if you’re not black, you’re white. You could be Asian or Latinx or Middle Eastern and some older black folks lump all of those ethnic groups in with white folks. Except in Ghana, if you’re from the states, then you’re lumped in with the term for white folks? Lol I guess it means more like foreigner? Because you’re clearly not white. 😂 what a blessing to have a familial connection and a first hand experience with your husband’s culture. I love this channel so much 😍 I’m learning a lot.

We are not oblivious to bad things and evil in the world but we choose to be peaceful and loving as much as possible. We ain’t perfect but we are happy with life

Siliminga is a funny word. We have something similar in Ethiopia called ferenji. Its like a catch all term for any westerner (mostly caucasian). Its not offensive just a loosely defined umbrella term. Whats funny tho is that oriental asians are now differentiated from this term. If they see any person with asian features they will usually yell out “china china”! 😂

If you're a boy born and raised in Africa and not privilege you know exactly what I am talking about... that is why VinMan keep stressing about everything is possible in Africa...we make do with whatever we have.

Calling an African American a White person may be triggering, but it is just a way to identify somebody who has lived in white people's land. They mean it as a term of endearment, banter or even considered a compliment. 😂

@Mindbodysoultv01 Жыл бұрын
@@proyouservicesltd3652 very sad and problematic I understand fully we cannot say Africa.. they’re saying we are being disrespectful because Africa is a Continent with 54 States, and we must say which country in Africa we are going to. Meanwhile they say they are going to the U.S. and not which State they are going to. This is the same. Africans tell me it’s different and we are being disrespectful. This isn’t even personal like skin color. It is disrespectful to call a black man/woman White. They need to learn this and make the adjustment, as we from the West must do with everything they request from us. Honestly I’m done with this I will just stay away from people who call us white. My Continental friends from the West tell me they thought the same thing until they move here. Once living in the West they understand we are not white. I fully understand we from the West will never be called black by these people. Please no need to reply back I deleted this channel and don’t want to hear anymore of this white lady crap.
