This is my favorite hip hop project of the last 10-15 years. I remember first hearing Clams Casino after he did songs like I'm God and Realist Alive with Lil B. It was such a breath of fresh air at the time as mainstream hip hop by 2009 was getting kind of tired at that moment. Then Rocky and the ASAP Mob got inspired by the swagger of NY emcees, southern hip hop like 36 Mafia and SPG's production, and those Lil B and Clams collabs to bring the cloud rap sound to another level on this project. As much as I grew up on the music of Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Kanye, Jay Z, and Tyler during that time, none of their projects gave me the feeling that LiveLoveAsap did and still does.

@@yenkoispro I'm from Alaska so I'm a big fan of hip hop from different regions. Mainstream especially around 2009 and 2010 was just super stale and we were looking for something new. When Rocky dropped everything just shifted. A new generation of acts were the new guys and pushed some of those mid to late 2000's guys out of the way.

Peso, Wassup and Purple Swag Pt. 2 when I was walking along to it and rapping along to it always made me feel like dat pretty mf hahahaha. One of Hip Hop's most classic tapes of the 2010's... (maybe of all time) and by far my fav Rocky project/ his most Definitive. Everything ab it is so confident and swagged out, and it lets you know on every track, my fav being Wassup. So when I was younger I was struggling with confidence and caring about what other people think, so Rocky's confidence and him being "based" inspired me to just be myself and have my own style and be different cause everyone else tries to be the same. His music and personality also taught me that men can take care of themselves and look good, and how important it is to have a fashion sense, and that it isn't only for women, there you go!

I think it's fair to mention that Rocky took big inspiration from SpaceGhostPurrp, especially during his beginnings. There's this possibility that Rocky ruined SGPs plans and stole his ideas as he was getting more famous (you can watch the Genius video about SGPs influence, he produced most of his stuff and pioneered a renaissance of the Texas sound). Many rappers respected him and wanted to be part of his Raider Klan, Rocky took advantage of SGPs unstable mental health and put those rappers admiring him, against him, like Playboi Carti and X. I think it's too much for me to ask but hopefully one day you get to react to SPG's Mysterious Phonk. A$AP Mob failed as a group and started declining after A$AP Yams's death, Rocky failed to establish a Hip-Hop headquarters with the mob (which was SPG's plan with Raider Klan). Anyways, can't wait to see your reaction to TESTING!
