I'm really impressed by Molly's takes upon hearing songs for the first time. Granted I know that she has the lyrics in front of her but that just mirrors having the old album covers in your hand while listening to your new album. Okay the meaning behind Kon Queso was explained by Doom for XXL magazine when he said, "It had to be two things: It had to be a food people could relate to and there had to be another play on the word. For instance, I’d say con queso, like cheese. Everyone knows “cheese” has a reference in the street, as money and whatnot. What I love about MF DOOM, and this album is it’s so esoteric. People can take way different things from it. He can be deciphered in a lot of ways. His super specific slang and the way he loves weird nerdy history and ideas

Bro. His word play is like a rollercoaster 🎢 you never want to get off of! The ingenuity, creativity, and curious yet pleasing nature of each word choice. And the OLDER you are, the more each niche reference brings you back to a memory of your childhood. From tv commercials, to Saturday morning cartoons or old timey expressions. Pure mastery! 👌🏾 ✨ PS. A majority of the samples used are from old Fantastic 4 cartoons. The main bad guy in Fantastic 4 is Doctor DOOM which wears a metal mask very similar to MF DOOM and is who he copied for his visual persona.

I prefer this album to Madvillainy, to me it's his best, It has no skips to me but Madvillainy has a few. Also what makes the skits more impressive to me is that KZbin didn't exist when he made this album, it really all came from videotapes and his memory.
