Hi Ma'am Cindy! Thank you for watching the video and for taking the time sharing a comment. The prepared delicious foods are those that we normally eat at home in the Phil. Eating with our bare hands make the food taste better i guess 😊. I am here for more than a month already, and meeting fellow Filipinos lessen the feeling of homesickness.

Hi Greg. I must say your wife Arlene speaks very good English. I've worked with a lot of Philiponos here in England 🇬🇧 and a lot of them are very difficult to understand. The accent varies from each province. They are hard-working people. I am your neighbour but left a very long time ago. Keep posting. Many thanks.

Hi Sir Royston. Thank you for your time watching the video and for dropping a comment. Greg and I feel truly humbled reading all the comments. Im not used to speaking in straight English daily in the Philippines, but i have to here in SU 😊. Our English accent varies probably bcoz of our more than 100 spoken languages in the Phil. Tagalog is our most commonly spoken language and is used for communication across the diverse linquistic areas/provinces. We are comfortable communicating in Tagalog. English is seldom used in our daily communication, only when we are at work or school. I agree that Filipinos are hardworking people. Family-oriented as well, strongly determined in reaching the goals why we decided to leave the country and work abroad. Thanks again Sir Royston!

Hi Royston, Thank you for the compliments. Yes she does speak very good English, but she still denies it, lol. There are 500 plus Filipinos here in Suriname too, and the ones I know are indeed hard working. Oh yeah, the Filipinos speak lots of different dialects. Oh ok, so how long are you living abroad now?

I think the "Boodle fight" looks like the culinary "Bercat" from the Surinamese Javanese.

Yes you're right. it is very much similar, it all depends what you want to add all together to have a meal.

Take care!

Hi Ma'am Christa! Been seeing your name and comments in every posted video of Greg. Thank you for your support and love. Our big thanks to you! It was a long travel to be here, flight of almost 30hrs. Not to include lay-overs. I am enjoying my vacation, spending time with Greg's family, colleagues and meeting his friends as well. Finally meeting them in person. How i spend my day/s when Greg is at work? Has been a month now since i started volunteering in the school where Greg works. I go with him almost everyday, except onnthe days when i have important concerns to respond virtually related to my work in the Philippines. I am making myself busy and having a productive vacation as well. An opportunity too for an added learning and growth.

Take care too my friend.

Hi Sir! Thank you for your continued support and for always sharing your thoughts and appreciation in every Greg's posted video. We are reading all of them ❤ Bicol, a region in the Philippines where i am from, is famous for its spicy cuisines. A lot of Bicolanos can effortlessly consume spicy foods, but i honestly cud not take much of it. I wud only take a bite of those with chili pepper flakes. And yearn for a lot of water after 😅 If allowed to be packed, i may bring home some seeds of SU's chilis.

Actually where my wife is from, is known as the Spicy region of the Philippines, and as you go further North of the Philippines, you will find that the food is spicier there. Not all Filipinos love spicy food, but lots still do, My wife is not much into spicy food, although she doesn't mind the food here which is spicy. Thank you my friend.
