I dunno, to play devils advocate, I think she had some introspective thoughts here. As someone who suffers from an autoimmune disease and chronic pain, yet is in a relationship with a narcissist, I feel her response on these questions seemed insightful. "Grieving the life we couldve had" is exactly how people like us feel. So the fact she can put words to it is commendable. In regards to being more attracted to your partner when he's happy... I'm not sure what's causing the strong negative reaction on that here, besides the fact we can tell he's obviously not on board with her "career choice." But being more attracted to your partner when they are confident, happy, & enjoying life is a well known quality. It is backed by research. Maybe you are conflating "not being as attracted to your partner" with "not loving your partner as much" when they are happy vs. sad, which are two very different things.
