I think this viewpoint that "incels are violent but femcels are just a danger to themselves" is very unhelpful. Both communities are at high risk of self harm, and glossing over that will just serve to anger them even more.

It isn't a viewpoint, it's a generalisation based on hormonal and cultural differences. Emotionally damaged men tend to lash out at the world without introspection and responsibility, and damaged women take on blame and self-harm. Understanding this is a starting point to helping people.

the contrast between this documentary and the incel documentary you guys made is hilarious. Both incels and femcels essentially feel the same negative emotions of loneliness, isolation, being unloveable, feeling ugly, etc. yet in your other documentary you basically villainize all the young men as being violent misogynists which the vast majority are not, while in this one, you coddle the femcels and paint them as innocent victims of tragic circumstances despite the absolute minsandry they spew online... no wonder young men are resentful towards society and liberal media... always painting their struggles in the worst light possible and no wonder they might feel resentment towards women for getting preferential treatment by every institution in the west while still complaining about how oppressed they are.
@cutthroatcaviar9466
@cutthroatcaviar9466 10 ай бұрын
Maybe because one group (incels) are responsible for real life acts of violence, mass murders and cause significant damage to society The other group (femcels) are a parody of the former - they don’t have a consistent ideology or multiple dedicated spaces filed with 10s of thousands of members per site, spread across multiple platforms online. Their motivations and beliefs are very different. Sure, they may have similarities when it comes to low self worth and feelings of loneliness but that’s about it. Incels are villainised because they act on the things they say online. Members of those groups actually go out and cause harm to others and have done for years. Even those who don’t cause any harm, by absorbing the type of content and beliefs shared on those platforms it poses a real risk of radicalisation and an escalation in behaviour. All because women don’t want to have sex with them. There are no active “femcel” communities online, not even one mainstream forum. Most posts online from self proclaimed “femcels” are satirical, just look at the # on TikTok. The most well known incel forum in comparison has over 2.6mil monthly views, 24k members, 12.2 million posts and 524k threads. On study showed every 29 minutes a post encouraging rape is posted. That site alone being connected to over 100 murders and violent attacks of mainly women in a 10 year period. Just because the vast majority of those who consume that content aren’t physically violent in ways that can be publicly linked to the incel movement it doesn’t mean that they don’t participate in other forms of violence? Like encouraging others to commit those acts, believing and promoting dangerous and hateful beliefs to others and participating in the increased levels of violence towards women. There are many other outlets to choose from where you can be lonely, insecure and depressed without frequenting platforms linked to mass shootings, rape and violence against women. All because you feel entitled to sex and companionship. Misandry is a byproduct of misogyny. When violence towards women increases, so does the anger towards those committing it. Misandry is simply a response to the increased levels of violence both on and offline and lack of justice to match that increase. In all of human history there is not one example of systemic misandry. 1-2 exceptions is an individual occurrence, not systemic oppression. The reason young men are so resentful is because gender dynamics shifted massively in a way that no longer prioritises their needs over female autonomy. Entitlement has allowed you to believe that “modern feminism and the liberal media” has stolen what you were owed and many are now being confronted with navigating a world that no longer works that way. Not to mention catastrophe reporting, socioeconomic inequality and a malignant capitalist system that has turned male anger into a profitable business. Pick up artists, men’s rights activist, podcasters and streamers. Misogyny is profitable. Monetising young male anger is profitable. The algorithm and monetising rage bait is an incredibly lucrative business. Whilst you blame liberal media and women for not caring enough about you, the “truth tellers” you look up to are seeing dollars signs. Your loneliness, insecurity and anger make you the perfect targets to groom and manipulate. Seeking role models, money making opportunities, community and a shared understanding of who’s to blame for all of this. Male insecurity and misogyny is incredibly profitable and there’s a well documented pipeline men lol yourself fall down in the process of simply looking for answers. Algorithms target you because when those content creators make money. So do the platforms. The more divisive a society is, the easier it is to control. I went off on a tangent there but the main point is this. The reason the attitudes are different is because incels are actively causing real world harm in acts of violence that are purposefully broadcast in a way to draw attention to themselves and inspire others. “Femcel” as a word doesn’t even make sense and is a parodied term. The women who self identify as one don’t actually follow incel ideology. The women who are typically labelled femcels as an insult are man haters. Not the same thing. When femcels unionise and start writing manifestos, create websites dedicated to sharing that ideology and begin committing mass shootings, killing men because they’re single and can’t find love, incite violence against men en masse, worldwide. Then a conversation can be had comparing them both. There is no sign of that happening any time soon and nothing to indicate that it will.

@@cutthroatcaviar9466 I'm not an incel but you said it yourself, there are tens of thousands of incels. So, Elliot Rogers the only one I can think of that went completely off the rails 10 years ago is representative of incels as a whole. Femcels though are good, they're just going through a bad stage and completely harmless because there isn't a female equivalent of Elliot Rodgers. I accidentally stumbled across an open femcel reddit group and they were very graphic, and hateful towards men, a lot of violent material and what they would do if they had a physical advantage. That strange 'moid' term was also frequent there. Of course, biologically they're less capable to dish out violence but then 99% incels aren't Elliot Rogers but young guys who are struggling just like the women. You sound like the type who doesn't take abusive women in relationships seriously which is very common but barely is reported due to stigma.

@@meanon4408so because the only incel you know of is Elliot Rodger’s that means that no other exist in the last 10 years? Don’t think that means that they don’t exist. Just that you don’t seem to be paying attention. Instead of commenting stupid shit how about you go and look up the countless number of incel murders and mass killings. Worldwide. Not just in the US. I am not going to even dignify this level of wilful stupidity and assumptions because you are incapable of doing adequate research and instead want to cry about the fact incels are being regarded as violent and dangerous. Even being charged with terror offences. The things you’ve mentioned are laughable. They call men moids? You mean like the parody phrase that they took from incels saying FEMOIDS. The Reddit community you just claimed exists is also a blatant lie as someone who has studied it, that is not the content that they share. Nor are there “femcel” subreddits. They don’t talk about the topics that you claim and nor do they focus on killing men and harming them lmao. Unlike the incel forums that post about raping women every 29 minutes and is documented and encourage pedophilia. Funny how you can find all of that on the first page of google but none of the femcel content people claim is being made equally. Incels actually commit real world violence. Femcels never have. I believe all victims of violence deserve justice. I believe women can be abusive. The average lonely incel is engaging in incel content from pages that support pedophilia. Over 53% agree with it. Data from their own websites. The average lonely femcel hates herself and isn’t encouraging raping men. Get over it.

"it's more complicated than just sex" - but C4, the same goes for male incels. Male incels might say that all their woes are caused by a lack of sex, but if women started giving them sex and they were still getting rejected by society as friends and partners, they would feel the exact same way that these women feel. It's about wanting your needs filled, but not being able to due to a lack of social skills, neurodivergence and/or countless negative experiences that you've had with the opposite gender (and from society at large) causing a society-wide rejection and extreme anxiety.

I think a lot of times the guys are just unattractive and there’s a lot of choice nowadays. I sit down in a coffee shop and 3 guys approach me in 1 hour. So there’s going to be guys that miss out, because the supply is higher than the demand. I don’t think these groups are helpful and I don’t think classing them as “average men” is very helpful either, because it’s dishonest. A lot of these guys are a result of bad genetics due to years of women having to marry for money, and while this is mean to say, the less they get to reproduce the better the problem will get in future.

You make a lot of sense but deep emotional issues are the main problem for these guys. Many are in a catch-22 -they want a women, yet they don't really like women and women sense that and reject them. Many only want to possess a woman for sex and aren't interested in emotional intimacy with a human being and women sense that. If they were better at hiding how shallow they are they could get a gf. It is true though that better looking and rich guys can get away with a bad personality with shallow women, but even those guys have to hide the worst of their misogeny. A fully hetero guy who adores women can look like a pig and attract the most beautiful women. Those guys develop personality and hold the keys to the Kingdom because they understand that the most beautiful women have the luxury of not giving a rats arse what anyone looks like.

She bullied & controlled me for 4 years. I don't think anyone would believe me if I fully told this story. I was scared of men. Then I met my husband, 21 years ago. We've been married most of that time. We had the kind of wedding I could never have dreamt of. It's not perfect: there are things I am not happy about but he treats me well. Don't go down this road: most women and most men are good people who just want a decent job & someone to love. Don't buy into this. Think about the good men in your life. Don't go down this road. Yeah but it's interesting to think about why that is. "Femcels" don't exist because girls don't vilify guys by default. They usually get angry and bitter after multiple bad experiences spanning many years.. whereas young men may approach one or two girls, as a kid, get rejected, and start assuming all women are shallow and vapid for the rest of his life. Ugly young women are pretty rare, but even then, girls tend not to be as aggressive and self absorbed as young men. They're typically too empathetic to be able to dehumanize an entire class of people. The closest you'll get to femcels are #metoo women, who could technically get a partner, but don't want to settle for some brain dead man-child. Whereas an incel may be completely unable to find a partner, because he literally has zero qualities that any woman would want.

@@wizzyb9761 At worst, I feel sorry for them. I certainly don't scorn people with severely low self-esteem the way I scorn people with an over-abundance of it. But, once again, I maintain that there is something to be said for people who put themselves down rather than lording it up over the rest of us. I've never felt threatened by anyone who's put themselves down. I suppose the issue for me is people who hate themselves to the extent that they lash out at others, but in my experience, few of these people would ever openly say "I'm a piece of shit." Quite the contrary. I'm of the opinion that almost all aggression is attributable to either extremely low or extremely high self-esteem, and so, yes, the former can be just as toxic as the latter. However, as I said before, few people who display toxic level of low self-esteem are the types who publicly put themselves down. The dangerous ones are those with secretly low levels of self-esteem who overcompensate with aggressive and self-aggrandising behaviour (which in turn lead to 'white pride' and other extremist identitarian movements). On balance, I think it's good to have self-belief and a moderate degree of confidence. That said, in my experience, people who are openly hateful of *themselves* tend to be more of a danger to *themselves* (i.e. suicide/self-harm/long-term depression/substance abuse) than they are to others. The ones who are the most dangerous to others, are the ones who either have such high self-esteem they become entitled and/or self-righteous, and thus refuse to believe their actions could ever be wrong, or those who cover up their underlying low self-esteem with false bravado and by lashing out at the 'failings' of others. People who *openly* hate themselves are just sad, but rarely bad or even particularly mad. Like I say, I mostly just feel sorry for them, and wish I could help them out of their rut.

SMV is determined by things men cannot easily improve on such as looks, money, status, physical stature, race, IQ, and neurotypicality. It is argued that women don't care about a man's personality, which is often conflated with morality. Some argue that only looks matter. Some say stuff like 'confidence' etc. matters a little but much less than readily observable material factors. SMV is argued to be the same as dating success, and it is commonly argued that direct female mate choice is primary in determining a man's sexual success, and not other external factors, apart from rare circumstances

But you can start right now by noticing your patterns of thought and cutting them off from going down the usual neural pathways. E.g. as soon as you start feeling self-critical, cut it off with 'that's just my old way of thinking, I'm likely seeing things that aren't really there (other's perception). I'm going to think 'I'm a good, kind, decent person and when the time is right I deserve to be happy with someone too'. Anyway I hope you read this, and take care of yourself - literally!

The second girl strikes me as dishonest. I assume many people have been attracted to her. She is deceived. Also if she doesn't want men, and says no to all men, that is unattractive. Part of attraction is wanting, and being let in. If you deny all men, they will still find you pretty and friend.

The person in the black hoodie has the band "Heilung" on it, meaning healing in german. They're a neo-folk band and pretty male heavy in sound, apart from maria franz the female vocalist. Pretty weird to have this stance of being aligned with such a group like femcels when the band she wears does not insight such divides, actually the opposite.

Women cannot be incels. Regardless of appearance, any woman can find sexual partners at any time and in any country. However, many women tend to be attracted to a select few "10/10" men who maintain a rotating list of partners and never commit. If women chose partners based on compatibility rather than societal standards, they would find happiness. Yet, it seems that many women, regardless of appearance, desire a wealthy partner, often aiming for a "6/5" millionaire.

You are so out of touch it’s insane. Do you think we’re fools? We date in our league and often times below it. Men are the ones with the high standards and they have deluded themselves into thinking just bc 10/10 women won’t sleep with them no women will. Truth is, us ugly women are invisible to y’all. Y’all made your bed. Lie in it

I feel it would help femcels to understand that men can be unfairly become victims of accusations of rape, domestic violence, etc. When I was single, I was accused of non-consentual sex/rape from a female embarrassed what her friend who slept with me might think, so she lied and told her I raped her. It destroyed my life for a time...now I am happily married....it doesn't stop there. I was accused recently of domestic violence by my real estate agent and of attempting to intimidate my wife after she accidently put a hole in the door where there was defective repairs of previous damage. We were not sure if it was a scam or not. I feel it would be helpful for females to understand that these misunderstandings have had more of a chance of happening because of people doubling down on conclusions that are easier to reach these days. Having a critical, non-judgemental disposition on things like this that happen may be important for a brother, friend, father or whatever.

UH, NO.... As a dude who had pretty severe 'ugly duckling' syndrome myself, I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe (in fact, I simply don't believe her, tbh) that this female on webcam truly thinks she's not SMOKING HOT... People know who they are in this regard... ESP beautiful people like she is. I do get that unique-looking people may develop odd complexes.. I was called "weird-looking" regularly as a young man (which is a punch in the gut every single time, let me tell you). But she is in the 9-10/10 area. But even at my hottest, I was never going past 7-8, no matter what I did. Idk if that's her deal But I seriously doubt her self-doubt. (Incidentally, as for me, I eventually grew out of it when I grew a "whatever" comfy and confident attitude. After I grew into my looks, I would recognize that, at least for me as a guy, it aaaaallllll depended on context and nuance. I could be a quiet weirdo and get odd frowns and laughter aimed AT me or be in a position of power and confidence (eg, holding a party with an air of confidence) and girls would be angling left and right to go out. As a nerd who was always in the, "class clown," group of kids, I remember being stunned when I switched schools in my junior year and, before I opened my mouth, all the popular girls literally were telling me (in my first days there) that I was the "hottest guy in the school." I immediately was asked out by the highly-regarded "Barbie" of the school. Of course, this was all just cuz I was new. We broke up, no joke, 1 week later. I didn't know how to wield that kind of position and felt wildly out of my element... Then I let my nerdy-goofy personality shine HARD and my regard lowered back to my previous school. 100% True story. I did have fun while it lasted tho (ie, till they discovered I was a huge goofball who didn't take himself seriously at all). POINT?: When you are in the middle numbers, looks doesn't seem to be a static, concrete or "real" thing... It is a very highly-morphous regard (at least in my exp as a guy) that can change in an instant and based on context.)

Did the woman with the blue hair say the woman online was eating her own flesh? Or did I hear that incorrectly? If yes. Why?

There are some strange things online, self-harm online i think has become worse as people get more and more desensitised to it. I can attest to seeing violent and horrible things online and in real life make you do things that are more and more extreme because you see it more. I’m not sure how well I explained it but I hope this helps x
