The reason why Partiban wanted to believe Leo is dead is because of his guilt. He realized it when his sister died. In the last scene he does speak about why he doesnt want to be reminded as Leo and to what extent he can go to protect his family. Finally, in LCU, the most deadliest of the villian would be Leo and he deserves it because of his hunting skills. If you see LCU, they are primarily based on the characters in a jungle. (Vikram's trailer shows that). The Eagle shown in the tobacco factory is more like a symbolic representation to Kamal Hassan from Vikram (Eagle is coming). All these are my observations.

Many of the Tamil audiences as well did not like the end…there were criticisms from the audience too regarding the second half …it was like everyone loved the first half of the film the second half could be made better story wise…which the director has accepted it and would ensure he shall make future films well…its a learning process.

Lets understand, Leo is a villian, he literally kill more than 100 people in one night, that he lied to his wife is the softest thing he has ever done, we can't expect someone who kills so many people as if they were nothing to be a good guy (completely Parthiban). Also this is my Loki fan, since they announced Leo, it was known that the character was going to be a villain, Leo not only kills to protect his family, he kills to protect HIMSELF. If he didn't have a family, he would still kill just to live "in peace". I love Leo character couse is the most complex character of the LCU, he is not good (Parthiban) just for being good, he "is good" to live in peace, he is in real a bad person, someone who dosent care to kill others just to be lives in peace, the way that he lies to his wife, others charcaters and the audience, just show how evil he is, couse he can lie without remorse (a psychopath), thats the plot of the movie, he is not the good guy that we love since the biggining of the movie. Also one hint that Lokesh give to the audience was the scene of Leo meet his father, you can see that behind Leo the is a demon crow and behind Antony there is angel wings, this means that Parthiban (Leo) is like a demon compared to his father.

The reason why harold said he isnt leo and it was parthiban was Leo/ Parthi is ambidextrous. And there were hints in the movie, from the start the he is Leo. If you can notice, after the coffee shop fight scene, He wont respond in the first time when he is called as Parthiban

The biggest trick the Devil ever played is convincing the world that he never existed. This is the analogy of this movie and its very well suits coz how Parthi was able to convince everyone that he's not the Devil 😈 It's not actually deceiving or fooling the audience in the end, but we are just tricked 😭😂

And when u watch the movie for second time, your perspective would be different especially after knowing he's indeed leo 1) After shoutout scene in cafe, he cries not oly coz he's a family man and not having the moral quality that he tries to instill in his son's throughts (through bed time stories), but the inner demon that he had been once and thought was dead, is still there inside of him. 2) After shootout, when someone calls Parthiban he don't turn back. Oly after calling with his name twice or thrice, he looks back indicating that he's completely turned to Leo now. 3) Through I'm scared song, the reason why he's scared of everything, every object, etc in his life is coz he's scared of demon thats resurfaced now. He's not scared of Antony or Harold Das or anyone, except oly of Leo which incase continues to stay forever in him, then he will lose his family 3) The reason he adopted Hyena is because the animal resonates with his lyf (the frst explanation by parthi about hyena in the opening scene). Leo was tamed with love by his family so he want to show the same love to Hyena as well 4) His daughter and Hyena are the oly ones he can get pacified with. He's scared and he sleeps on his daughter's lap and when he asks her if she didn't doubt him when everyone does, she tells she don't coz he's her lovely father (despite witnessing him shooting those 5 guys in the cafe). Also in one scene, he leans his head over Hyenas head which is a very touching moment meaning he don't have anyone to reveal completely what's he going through.

Leo is the mysterious character in the LCU. Only he knows his past. The persons who knows his past are already dead, or about to die. Lokesh actually did a great detailing on the character. In the climax sequence, he opens a suitcase and while he searches for the contents, you can see bible in it. In flashback scene, while they show the human sacrifice scene, a priest is shown reading the same bible. Maybe it is Leo, who does the sacrifice. There are many hidden details, which are pretty cool, in this movie. Leo doesn't have a sense of right and wrong. He would do whatever he want. He was changed, because of his sister's death. So he wanted a new life. He faked his own death and made a new identity and started a new life, forgetting about all of it. But when the coffee shop incident happened , he realizes that one cannot escape his past forever. If you watch closely, after that incident, he don't respond to his name "Parthipan". You have to call him twice. Because he knows who he is now, and he have to try hard to keep leo away. And he convinces people so hard that he is not leo. He lies to his whole family, maybe because he is scared that if he tells them the truth, his family will shatter. His only reason to live is his family. If it goes away, he would be the same wild person he don't wanna be. Parthipan aka Leo is a perfect antihero in my belief. Because he deceives his loved ones and other people, yet he tries to change himself. Lokesh made Leo as a tribute to History of Violence. Knowingly or unknowingly, he made Leo Das similar to Kaiser Soze from Usual Suspects🔥 I hope in the upcoming projects, they maintain Leo as a powerful villain / antihero and reveals his true past.😅

Even you have watched the full movie, you are saying he killed his own dad, uncle shocked me..They believed in superstition and everything started when those two decided to sacrifice his sister..and then they doubted his mom's death would done by his dad. In Climax, harold and antony decided to sacrifice leo's son instaed of leo, so he killed both of them. Coming back to emotional love scene..He realised his mistakes believed that the Leo in him has dead and decided his family is everything for him and also he don't want to remember it again..also his Leo in him never came out in his family life except saving the people from Hyena and saving his family from gangsters..So remembering it again is a mess in his peaceful life
