1. if you notice in present day, vardha is currently sitting on his dad's throne and wearing the king's bracelet, meaning deva let him have the throne 2. did deva betray his own tribe, in favor of vardha, did he kill raja mannar and rudra as well 3. did deva fail to keep his promise to vardha to protect baachi, his younger brother from bharaava or ghaniyaar tribe 4. maybe baachi becomes powerhungry and immorl after vardha gets the throne, bharaava kills baachi to weaken vardha's resolve and vardha kills bharaava 5. setting the stage for rivalry between deva and vardha and radha rama exploiting that to her advantage for the loss of her position in the royal court, the murders of her father, her brother, her husband 6. could yash make a cameo appearance as deva's father, dhaara, the leader of shouryaanga tribe

In Mahabharata, the character's Bhishma birth name is Devavrata and in Salaar movie, the protagonist's first name is Devaratha, I wonder if the director purposefully chose to make this play on words/names to place emphasis upon the main character's supreme act of severe self-sacrifice in pursuit of the honor and justice and loyalty to friendship, a noble purpose beyond self-serving goals and desires?

You have missed the main dilemma. Devaratha has the right to throne, but he still promised it to Vardha. And even Vardha knows that Deva won't break his promise, and so he keeps on calling him his Saalar. Now Deva has to choose between his people and his promise given to best friend. Almost like Karna & Duryodhana situation.

Shorayanagar clan was very powerful, hence vardha's father (King) had killed them while they were sleeping and hence built such huge walls and kept modern weapons. They were afraid that if anyone survives, they will be in danger and hence deva is also so strong because he belongs to shaurynga tribe.

when Shruthi Hassan said "does deva know?" She is asking does deva knew that he's the heir to throne. Deva knew that he's shouryanga you can notice the tattoo like scars on his back resembling shouryanga's Identity and he also did the sword ritual.

11:42 Actually, the mannars tried to genocide the whole Shouryanga tribe but luckyly, few of the children were rescued . So , he Dharava ( Radha Rama's husband) wants to take revenge ,that's the reason he did all of that. He isn't the villain

After varda sent deva and his mom outside khansaar, that mass massacre happens, not before this scene. Probably she is not deva's biological mother.. Dhaara protecting his son by hiding away from him ( reason - He is connected to his frnd, more than his mother, he promised his frnd, not his mom) less attachment to his mom.

You didn't understand the ending because shouryanga didn't know where deva is but he was their leader because he was a son of their leader who was killed by mannar and deva also doesn't know he is shouryanga leader and even if he knew that doesn't make him antagonist because of what raja mannar did that to his father.
