I absolutely recommend an SKS. My girlfriend drools over my Yugo since its such a fantastic shooter with so little recoil and I love how cheap it is to shoot.

Right on man! My wife as well enjoys the Norinco and Yugo...prefers the Norinco due to lighter weight but yes very low recoil and insane accuracy.

I am so sorry you cannot get an affordable sks. Up here in Ontario Canada the sks is the one inexpensive milsurp rifle available on the Canadian market. The sks is great for the range and anything you need it for out in the bush in Ontario. I love your channel I subbed 4 years ago. I listen to your podcasts while travelling to work. Thank you for all you do!

Get Sam a PSA AK. I know it goes agents all your collecting but it's the smoothest handling, cheep ammo, fun to shoot, lightest, handiest thing I own. My girlfriend likes it alot. I sure enjoy all your videos, Getting to see milsurp stuff, history and information before buying is really nice. I didn't look at other comments but I am betting the voting is favoring MORE SAMANTHA.

7.62x39 will work perfectly well for anything you need it for. If you're asking which is best for home defense, that would be the M-1 carbine. 15 rounds of .30 carbine in a semi auto in a light handy package beats any bolt gun anytime.

I suggest try carcano. 7.35 mm original caliber or after German occupation of Italy in WWII also available in 8mm Mauser.... haven’t sot it so far... I guess it kicks a little, ...

Great Video! I have a type 38 Chinese in 762x39 but mine doesn’t have the SKS front sight and the sights shoot like 6 inches high or even more. Might have to mess with it a little to get it on target but its a great shooter besides that

It's WW2 production that was used/given to the Koreans. My preference is usually original over reproductions.

My girlfriend is the same way, she's picked up all the basic info from me but can't remember every individual detail about a gun. I wouldn't expect her to remember what a particular model number of a gun is, or what caliber the gun fires, or what country it was from.
