Kind feedback, I think you need to consider a better mic? Your voice seems to get distorted

Thank you for the feedback friend, you’re definitely right. Will look into this for the next video!

@@JustMakeIt_YT it's not even your mic, your gain is too high somewhere. Figuring out where your audio is clipping is all you need to do mate

If your Wi-Fi signal sucks it's very unlikely your ISP can do anything about it, even if their router is acting as the access point. Wi-Fi uses unlicensed spectrum and is very prone to interference from other sources (e.g. neighbours' Wi-Fi, leaky microwave ovens) and also has limited range affected by the materials used to build your premises.

Fair point!

Would be cool if there were buttons and you could switch from network to network, testing their functions! I have two routers set up in my house and one is a repeater, so it would be cool to see how good both signals go!

Great idea - maybe that’ll feature in the next version 🤔

Interesting. Although I did miss write read the title… was slightly wondering why Google is recommending "my wife sucks so I made this made this". Once I read it properly and sounded interesting. Used to be there was a couple companies that were making these little keychain he typed devices that took a CR 2032 and would basically just a Wi-Fi signal strength bar graph with LEDs. I can't remember I think one had an LCD screen that showed the SS IDs I can't remember it's been like 20 years. The idea was checking to see if there was Wi-Fi around/open Wi-Fi before you put it up your laptop at the airport and drained it's battery just to find out that it's locked or nonexistent before the development of blast everything with Wi-Fi. Part of me wishes those things still existed but they would be far less useful. Nowadays that would be more like hey look there's no Wi-Fi here and then somebody turns on a microwave.

i never knew you could run the esp32 straight from 9 volts, cool

Yeah, it’s really handy

Would be nice if it had a GPS, then you could just walk slowly in the house logging the signal intensity then plot a intensity graph later.

Great idea. Another thing to include in MK2

Great idea, good implementation. But this time could be spent buying and setting up a decent access point, which would make this device unnecessary.

It probably does, but it’s more fun to make things!

It was a fun idea to find out where the wifi was good or bad - still trying with my ISP though 🤞

voice should only go to the yellow, not red. you are peaking thru-out the entire video.

Video starts at 0:29. Even better feedback, get rid of the introductory meaningless stock clips. They don't add any value to the video, rather the opposite.
