For me, Sentry is one of the most fascinating and awesome superheroes the Marvel universe has to offer, and he's quickly becoming a personal favorite. I love his dynamic and complex characterization, his deep inner struggle between the good Sentry and the bad Void, and his incredible power that sets him apart from other superheroes. With incredible abilities like being able to transform into the Void, Sentry is a powerful force in the Marvel multiverse. His unique origin, unique personality traits, epic battles, and incredible powers all come together to make a character that is truly engaging, entertaining, and memorable, and one that I love.

This theory is dope, especially of you think about the fact that lifebringer one from the 3rd iteration of the marvel multiverse (3rd cosmos) is also known as the first sentry or first hero and the void might be a fragmented piece of the anti all (also from the 3rd cosmos), the enemy of the first sentry.Both primal entities (diluted of course) existing in current sentry. I've been a big Sentry fan since the Stan Lee creation rumors and from what Ive seen in the comics I believe you're close to the truth but switch it around. Sentry is the avatar of The One Above All's wrath. The thing that has the power to wipe out everything wherever it goes. It's power is what killed the dinosaurs, flooded the earth, killed all the first born in Egypt. It's cursed to exist because it must and it doesn't understand why

In my theory , Sentry is Taiji or (tai chi) is a Chinese cosmological term for the "Supreme Ultimate" state of undifferentiated absolute and infinite potential, the oneness before duality, from which yin (Sentry )and yang (Void) originate. So there's no S symbol on his belt, but its actually Ying and Yang symbol

Good vid , I agree with you there was definitely always more to sentry then just being a just a regular powerhouse. Don’t think people understand how powerful he really his . He doesn’t even know . Personally If hulk is TOAA right hand of destruction I think , I think sentry’s his left hand of light per say the hulks opposite . He’s the one of only people that actually calm the hulk down thru power and words and they have a bond . Hulk was the only person to remember sentry too .

I hate that sentry is underutilized. He’s a cool character and a lot to work with but all he ever does is be a plot device or some side character. He deserves better and should be given an actual run that sticks and not vanish for an odd amount of time only to conveniently show up again.

Reed saying Void was beyond anything he has seen was made after seeing Jack Kirby, right? If so, I'd argue The Void is an aspect of or connected to an entity stronger than even the One Below All. Probably not 😅. But he could definitely be apart of the Anti-All/Dragon fought by the 3rd Cosmos

You know, after reading comics and watching your videos, I have a theory as to why earthlings in marvel receive the power ups they do. It goes like this: When it comes to earth, the potential of its life forms is limitless, provided they are willing to put in the work to achieve it. Lets take spidey for example. He started as a lonely high school teenager. But after being bitten by the spider and showing what he could do as a hero, his actions have allowed him to ascend to a higher level of importance in the grand scheme of the universe. Humans, via their actions and hearts, are able to rise in prominence to eventually become concepts, book marks in their universe, and recognized by the higher powers that be, giving them the chance to evolve and become something more. Recently ive seen this with Iron man becoming a god, Hulk being spoken to by toaa as being his hand, Punisher becoming "the beast", Spidey becoming captain universe, and venom becoming a god. If i were to create some concepts in the comics, itd be as follows. Tony/reed- concept of intelligence Spidey- concept of love/determination/hope Sentry- concept of balance Hulk- choice Black panther- Dominance Steve rogers- Willpower Kamala- Growth/change I could do more, but these are just a few.

Sentry is side by side with Moon Knight as my all time favorite characters. I will NEVER forget my first read through of Sentry's OG run and onward. I'm currently revisiting every Sentry appearance from the start and knowing how BAD things can and will get for him makes a re read straight up legitimately EERIE. He is so damn cool but really, at the heart of it, so goddamn scary. I love him. Can't wait to see the resurgence in the new Sentry story kickin off next week. Hoping it leads to Bob's resurrection.

Yes, Stan Lee approved of the Sentry so much that he remembers one of his last books "What would happen" where the Sentry destroyed the planet earth when he transformed into the void. In addition to being an excellent comic, the Sentry's plot and story has both dark and light from the beginning of the universes.

Sentry is a lovecraftian twist on Superman. Basically it's the conceit that sure, if such a solar powered superhuman did exist, the truth of that kind of power might reveal something quite unsettling about the nature of reality. This is why I love Sentry. The hero/character we see could just be a chosen avatar of an ancient lifeform of extradimensional origin. The pocket dimension of 1 million exploding suns could be the source, or a raw source of energy tethered to the lifeform that manifested itself under the name Sentry. Sentry has insanely fun writing potential. I'm very saddened that the 2018 series got axed, merged Sentry would have been a very fun progression to his character.

@@sadewade3936 how is Superman not a reality warper? He has hyper speed, hyper strength, can see through walls, hyper hearing, can 1 handed over hand press a nonsensical amount of weight. And plenty more on par with Sentry, minus flat out generating stuff. Both are solar powered, both have the standard superman abilities, there's a giant S slapped on them. He's absolutely a pastiche superman. It's a bend on the same concept, a humanoid that harnesses solar energy for heightened capabilities. The twist is that those capabilities would actually be quite bizzare if structured differently (i.e Sentry being tethered to a pocket dimension of stars).
