11:15 I've heard they actually stop the ride for 15 minutes so the show can be held without any trains moving. Probably to deal with safety regarding the lasers used in the show.

I had the same experience the other day on saturday. I wasn't as grumpy haha but it wasn't as good as when I didn't go in wintertraum. It seemed to me that operations improved in the evening by quite a large amount. In the morning FLY was so slow but later it was much faster. Like they couldn't be bothered in the morning. Also I find the queue boards pretty accurate though. But the pathways couldn't handle the crowds and it was terrible. Trying to avoid the crowds took away from the beauty of the place as I could only concentrate on getting out of the way. The main thing that annoyed me is that Taron and FLY didn't advertise what time the queues closed so I missed out on taron night ride. Might be my fault but you didn't know as well but they kept it open. Strange because on every other ride it did advertise it. But the park itself was still amazing but let down by the operations. But I totally agree, let less people in. It's that simple! Sorry that's a bit of a rant! Great vlog though, wish I saw it earlier!

@ Sure, that‘s a big shame. I‘ve been there two days ago and I couldn’t watch the indoor shows because there were too many people. I also noticed that the operations could have been faster, especially at Black Mamba. We returned back to the station with our train and we had to wait about 3 minutes until the other train dispatched. The advertised queue time were also not correct. At Taron you always wait a lot longer than predicted. The winter event is great but there were too many people to do anything. I live near Phantasialand and can go on any rides on other days but I feel very sorry for you. If Phantasialand sells a lot of tickets but nobody enjoys, it won‘t be worth it for them either.

I visit Phantadialand next month at a wednesday. Let's hope the queues are shorter than. Schould be school and most people working, so let's hope I don't have to queue for hours like in your video. Funfact: I've been scraping the queue length for some data analysis on my part over the last month and the weekends always trough off my calculations due to them having 2-3x the amount of people and different queueing patterns.

I can't believe it- we were there every day Friday to Monday, and yeah Sunday was crazy, but Saturday boy I was grumpier than you. Lucky for us Sunday was Charles Lindbergh so we had a golden ticket for Fly which totally blew me away, Friday and Monday was much more manageable but not quiet, the pathways feel really crowded and the closing of pathways didn't help. The food and drink on park was excellent and really good value, but chose the quieter venues. Chiapas show we were sternly told where we could stand but the show was amazing, and so pleased you stuck it out for the Grand Finale that is utterly magical, that night we saw the it from the balcony at Charles Lindbergh well away from the crowds. On Saturday it said 10 mins queue for Taron we waited 90 the queue times are so inaccurate. I think you must have seen the 2.30pm Golden Feather show the usher was getting so angry with his flashlight 🔦 had no idea it was you!! That really is an excellent mix of circus and theatre. Of the 3 hotels we stayed in Hotel Matamba was our favourite, China had 2 of the worst rides ever the madhouse and ghost train, the fun house in Berlin (hotel) ended up being by fav non coaster ride. Chiapas and Talocan closed at 4pm everyday. I think your video will help anyone thinking about a spontaneous visit to avoid weekends but any day for this event isn't going to be smooth, I go away having felt totally amazed by the winterarum event but disappointed by the merch, just a couple of t shirts.... hope the exit from car park wasn't as horrendous as I fear....

@1minutethemeparks no not really. never go there at a weekend 😉 It was full but not crowded - longest waiting time was 30 minutes and the rest was nearly a walk-on

The problem is probably that they are throwing out the tickets both in summer and for the Wintertraum with ridiculous discounts so you get tickets for as cheap as 27 instead of the normal 64 €. They claim to have a daily limit of tickets but that´s definetly not based on an amount that would guarantee a good experience.

I would argue that the problem has more to do with the fact that the park doesn't expend and adds more attractions. Clearly there's demand for it and providing tickets at a price where students or other people low on money can afford to actually go a few times per year is great. As a temporary fix, the weekday queues are massively smaller and you have to take into account that you visited at one of the first Wintertraum weekends, where typically most people are there to try it out and experience the attractions.

Crazy that I went a couple weeks ago and the longest queue time was 30 minutes for winjas. Taron was max 20 and f.l.y was at some point only 5 minutes!

That is shockingly bad, I went for Wintertraum last year on the 30th Of December, seemed to be quite quiet for the time of visit with queues maxing at 35 minutes. It sucks that this can happen to such an amazing theme park. Hope you can get a better more quiet day soon.

i went to phantasialand on the busiest day of the year, (100% on the crowd calendar on a public holiday in august) and it was my first time there, i was there for 2 days atleast and we had fast passes for fly so i managed 3 rides on fly and 5 on taron over the 2 days there

I am living with my family five car minutes away from the park. We have grown up with the park and had annual passes (which are not available any more) for many years. In a nutshell: We are not visiting Phantasialand any more because they are selling off the cheap tickets on and on. On our last visits it was always so crowded we did not enjoy. Also the type of visitors have changed, much more unpleasant people. Line skipping, rude behavior. Our home park is not Phantasialand any more and we know a bunch of other people who feel the same.

Yes, and we think Phantasialand does not care about the rude behavior and the bad experience in an overcrowded park. Maximum profit seems to be key. Well, not with us anymore.

What the hell!! Thats is ridiculous! We popped in for a day in june, and it was heaving. Definitely ruined the day. When we do wintertraum, we do the first week of January, and its ‘usually’ 15-20min queues in the day

If you're on time for the shows, you'll definitely be able to see them! 12:27 Please don't complain about not being admitted into the fire show at Chiapas if every single display notes that doors open 30min prior, and there's signs pointing to the single entry point for the show. Asking the staff members standing around could've also helped. It's also crazy to me that one of thos exact HUGE arrows are RIGHT IN THE FRAME at 13:07.... Phantasialand has immense issues with crowding, so implementing one-way walkways or controlling people-flow like this is unfortunately the only way to manage the huge masses of people at Wintertraum. Phantasialand, (with amazing marketing campaigns that are basically unavoidable if you live anywhere close to Phantasialand) has managed to turn Wintertraum into their most popular and profitable season, (which is not the summer time anymore, especially because of the huge profits in the food and beverage department).

That's why you plan 2 days when you go to major theme parks. The park looked amazing, that's why everyone was there. Plan better. Fast tracks in advance, show up early, enjoy your company and plan the day when there are tons of events going on around the park.

We just caught a bad day, you cant plan better when operations are that Shouldnt have to buy fast tracks! We did last minute at europa park the day before on a bisy saturday and were fine 😁

This is even worse than alton towers this makes alton towers look tame for capitcy they need to sort it out

alton towers is way bigger, probably the biggest park in europe but phantasialand is 1/10 of its size
