I went to the same high school, fun fact: that teacher in the navy was so infamous for being an asshole that the teachers themselves at the junior high school said they felt sorry for any of us who had to take his course.

I changed schools in 10th grade, at the very end of the year. Literally one month before summer started. I was not only expected to take the end of the year tests in a much harder curriculum, compared to my old school that was GARBAGE standards for grades. Thankfully most of them allowed me to just skip it, and gave me an automatic grade. But I was also not given a map?? In a massive school of over 1,200+ people?? It was an interesting school. The only thing I miss is the library. Great library! Incredibly comfy chairs, and very friendly librarian. Had a ton of manga to read!
