I have the Halo 4 xbox 360 and halo 4 controllers, blue lights and sounds and still around. I mainly use the xb1 over it (because it has backwards compatibility) but I still keep it for playing sometimes and DVDs

I was the second guy in line at EBX at Pacific Place on release day of the OG Xbox. There were only two of us in line. I was so pumped for the system after seeing Halo and I wasn't disappointed. I think I have nine different consoles with the "I Made This" 360 being a standout that I bought from someone on the launch team. Though as cool as that one is, my crowing jewel is the Dark Knight Rises 360 that I acquired at the end of last year from a local guy on OfferUp. I assumed it was a skin put over a regular 360 but as it turned out it was actually a famed ColorWare. This one was a prize from a nationwide contest through a movie chain and one of only 50 to exist. It's pretty cool looking too.

Love those translucent green OG Xbox's! Would be so cool if Microsoft made a Series X in the same see through green. They've been doing an awesome job with their partially translucent controllers. I have the Master Chief Halo 3 Xbox 360. I love the orange disc tray that represents Master Chief's visor.

None of my xboxes are special, but how they're set up is. Got 6 of them all connected to a network switch for LAN parties. Two Xbox One's and four 360's, all with their own monitor, one with a tv. It's really cool being able to do halo LAN matches, or zombies, between two generations of consoles. Really appreciate Xbox for allowing that.

I've never had to replace my Xbox360, which in my opinion is amazing since the red ring of death was so common. I got the Halo 3 Special Edition from Circuit City back in 2007. It's one of my favorite system pick ups to this day because I didn't pay anything for it (technically). My friend had a broken 360 which was insured but he wanted the Xbox360 Elite so he bought that instead of using the insurance. I asked if I could have it and he agreed, so I brought it to Circuit City and gave me 400 dollars in store credit. I looked behind the glass and saw the Halo 3 special edition and asked how much it was, the cashier said 399.99. One of my favorite pick ups of all time.

Yup, voltage caps might end up going out to. I have a spare og Xbox that's had its clock capacitor removed but the voltage caps ended up blowing later on. Now it has a hard time powering off without taking the plug off the wall. I love the og Xbox to death, but I seem to have the worst luck with their reliability. Had one with a FRAG issue due to a faulty hard drive (now just a parts donor), another with a dead disc drive, the aforementioned one with blown voltage caps and my latest one from a friend as a gift that fully works. I frankensteined the two that had the faulty hard drive and dead disc drive together to make one working console, my voltage cap princess currently sits waiting for repair and the last one is a System Link/working spare console. Never had this much trouble with a specific console before.

About 6 years ago. I walked into a game stop for a xbox 360 . (My first ever xbox) and they hand a used r2d2 xbox 360 with the proper remote with it. I ask the price...it was the same as other used xbox 360 s on the shelf. Thats the one I went home with. And I love the sounds it makes powering up and shutting down. And the disc tray opening and closing sounds.

Older coworker of mine tossed a reach edition 360 slim with a few controllers and games, oh man the goosebumps from the special edition sounds was pure nostalgia. I have 3 OG Xboxes ( including 1 that I got for £30, still boxed, and still in original plastic bag,never been played.) I have a Crystal version. Then I have 3 360's ( 1 black, the R2D2 one, boxed but no controller , and a boxed Halo 4 version. And I have an original Xbox One.

I have one of the first 360s and its white out. Instead of the disc drive being chrome its white. Its not painted or anything. I think it looks cool in my opinion, it has a 250GB hard drive on top as well as i think 214mb built into the console and i have a 512mb memory card on the front of it as well

Awesome collection! Xbox 360 is my favorite console. I have quite a few of them and I bought them all new. I have a launch pro, the RE5 red edition(my favorite), FFXIII edition (the HDD just says Final Fantasy XIII), Gears 3 edition, a regular S type, the COD blue version E type, and a NIB regular E type that I got off Amazon for $12.99. I’m almost positive it was a price mistake and was supposed to be $129.99. Most of my friends’ orders were canceled. For Xbox One I had the white MCC version that I gave to my friend, the Gears 4 S version, the Minecraft S version, and a regular One X. I can’t decide if the red Gears one or the Minecraft one is my favorite. For the OG I just have 3 regular ones, but one of them I got from Half Price Book and I swear it looked and smelled like it just came out of the box, lol. It’s the first model and it had 2 Madden saves on it. I hope it lasts me a very long time. Yes, I removed the clock cap.

I am working steadily on building out my Xbox collection. My main 360 is now the Halo 4 edition with the Forerunner design. I also just picked up the Xbox 360 Halo 3 version, green and gold.

Nice video. I've got two modded OG Xboxes, one of them the crystal edition with two matching controllers. Had a bunch of 360s through the years, currently running the Halo4 edition (the controllers are in safe keeping, using ordinary ones as daily drivers). Saw that R2D2 edition in my local game store once, they wanted 160€ for it so I had to let it slide.

Hey metal jesus, I have a tip for your modded xbox, but it might come off as me knocking your xbox setup. What you have is fine. If you want something cooler for a game launching menu, install XBMC. XBMC as you know is a media player but it was actually a great games and emulator launcher too. The interface is slick and you get game art as icons for your games, which is a lot cooler than scrolling through pages of text titles. If you want to know what I mean just google something like "original xbox xbmc games menu" and check out the images. I remember back then I used the same launcher as you but when I added xbmc I was blown away. What's cool is you can set xbmc as the default boot application, so it'll go right into it when you power up. The process isn't that hard. You just upload the application and art over FTP, the same you would for transferring games to the hard drive across your network. You may have to do some digging for the files though as I'm sure they were a lot easier find two decades ago.
