What could be more natural? Techno was born in Germany and then was reborn there out of House after Detroit tried a takeover, not to mention Elektron is a German company. Props to Michael for a solid video. The Octatrack is one of those machines that's easier to use than explain. Its logic is there and eventually becomes "natural." It's just very different from its competitors.

This was helpful. Boy is this a difficult machine . I bought it a month ago and this is ridiculous. I understand modular way better than this. But step by step and help from the community. Is a lot if help here. I've been using synths,daws ,etc.. for for years and years but this a whole diffrent thing. The manual is necessary here unlike anythin else I've ever used. And much most do as well. It seems! Thank you . Stay safe!

Nice! Been learning mine now for a while. A very complex deep machine. Love it. Nothing like sampling favorite anime and movie clips and phone calls and chopping up into beats. The arranger is very powerful. I only wish that Elektron would bring Overbridge for it.r

Thank you very much Dave, I like your feedback very much. Last year I had exactly the same question. I made a video which is pretty basic, just showing a list of functions in comparison to each other. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3uwqnV4hL96hbM I worked with both machines and can clearly state that Octatrack would be my first choice. Some say the sound is not as good as Digitakt, in fact I dont know. What I liked most was a real good sample pack including Loopmasters, more effects, better workflow (I like this T1-T8 trigs), CF-card, timestretch ( really useful). I would say today that Digitakt is good as a Drum-machine ( and its samples are 80% drum sounds) and Octatrack a real sample machine were you can work with loop samples/ complete melodies. - my personal view.

On the Octatrack, it's more common to have the crossfader on one side or the other. A little different than the way it's used in DJing. This is because you usually want an un-effected version on one side, and the added effects on the other. Of course, everything on the OT is up to individual preference.
@MichaelKert6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much buddy’ , I have already asked myself about function for the cross fader and how to use it. You are very welcome, kind regards, Michael
