I just love the sounds they make. My dad's two zebra finches stop what they're doing when I play these noisier videos to them when I go to visit. Sometimes they join in. They must wonder where all these other zebra finches that they can hear are hiding :)

I am so jealous of your aviary. I have 6 zebra finches, but they have to live in a large cage because I don't have a garden. I would love to have something like yours. You have lovely colours too and they all look really content, happy and healthy.

I think the most fascinating thing about these finches is there extremely large amount of different markings! My two are normal, but seeing the boys with black cheeks, some females resembling similar markings to males, the white ones also! It's hard to believe that these were originally white and orange :O

aww so cute i used to have 2 they were brother and sister but the boy (kieth) died but i still have the girl (abii) and its been hard on her but i have a canary (misty) but she lost her mate (gorgie) so i put them together because they were always up-set and they wernt there selfs but then i put them together and now they are so so happy :)

I have a pair too, and they need fresh food and water everyday. They are so small, but somehow they manage to consume the whole amount of water I provide (which is about 200 ml!).Also, when they eat their seeds, the peels fall on top, and then they cannot find their food under the peels. You have to remove them very often, because not finding the food makes them starve and even die. Their metabolism is so fast that they need to eat and drink a lot. I wouldn't leave them alone for 3 days.

Heya, I was just wondering why the birds on the left gently peck at eachother's beaks at 0:13 ? My finch pair do it every so often, and I've always been curious as to why. They never come close to hurting the other, and like in the video it only lasts for a couple of seconds. xD

No they don’t bite but if they are not tamed please don’t touch them, but if they have eggs 🥚 they will bite.

look up ZEBRA MUTATIONS on google ;) I started with 2 normal males, one died, had to get him friends, lady said we had to take 4 (free), so needed bigger cage, cage was a steal, came with more zebras (then we had 12). found another cage super cheap deal, zebras had babies, ppl brought over free zebras they didn't want. well now I breed them.. have normal, fawn, white, crested, penguin, black cheek, silver, and fawn cheek. LOL there are more I want XD

+Elijah Addey Fresh water in a purpose made drinker, daily. A separate bath.. once used, take it out of the cage so they don't drink from it. Finch seed, and blow off any husk as and when needed. Every now and then give them some cod liver oil mixed in with some seed. A bowl of grit and a cuttle fish bone should be available at all times. Millet sprays, eggfood/softfood, and some greens will also be enjoyed. Thanks for watching.
