My two zebra finches passed away. One died about a year or two before the other. The other one died 5 months ago. I didn't have a relationship with them but they were important. I miss them so much. I like to watch and listen to videos of zebra finches singing to remind me of what I'd had. This one in particular is my favorite.

We have 4 finches. Sometimes I'll get on here and play this. As soon as our finches hear this they start singing as well. The kids love when our finches get excited.

Zebra finch aren't valued very much but they have the best personalities and temperament. Other finch, though prettier and better singers are skittish and distant.

Yeah, all finch are. They aren't parrots ya know, but a skilled trainer can have success with certain types. I've noticed my Java Finch are much easier to work with and not as skittish.

My zebra finches that we had when I was a kid were super friendly and would hop on my hand and everything. They also sang far prettier than these do. They lived a really long time, well over 8yrs I think. Idk exact years because its been a while.

They do. A good majority originates from the father and from what I understand the youngin bases it off of that and adds his own signature to it ultimately. I don't think any male finch song would ever be the same as another. Truly unique per male finch. My female finch doesn't like to sing of course, however its worth a mention she can do a really spot on microwave impression. hahaha.
