Yes it is a gem thanks for watching I think parts two and the final part three will be awesome once I finish editing I had such a good time up there bit of a drive up from the south coast but worth it

Hi ... your boat is a Dancer 19 but you don't appear to have the original keel operating mechanism ie the worm drive setup...did you modify this at some stage? I am intrigued as ours broke and we completely bypassed the old system with a brake winch mounted on top of the keel casing.

Hi how are you going It is the original mechanism except I have remade everything in 316 stainless The original bearing that was mounted in the cockpit is now under the round scree hatch That was a design floor in the original set up as all the load was only supported by the fibreglass in the cockpit Over time that collapsed on my boat That bearing is now supported by a strong steel post type bracket mounted to the keel case Instead of winding a handle I use a Milwaukee fuel 18 drill that is the only drill on the market that will handle the max torque of lifting the 225 kg keel Hope that helps
