To those who can not perceive the difference between songs, this DJ is world-class. Although most of the music was Salsa Dura which is not my favourites, she can keep hundreds of people dancing all day
@fernandoiturburu37183 жыл бұрын
This is the difference between a professional DJ and an amateur: the selection to play is larger, better and more diversified. Not to say the discovering of tunes usually hidden behind the famous songs. That's the DJ contribution: the rescue of other songs and artists, their incorporation into the genre repertoire.

Very well said. If you were to ask for someone who isnt from Colombia to list a salsa song they may list a very popular and common one. But what this DJ did was play a song usually only colombians would recgonize. Truly digging into the culture that was formed within for decades upon decades
@jorgeeduardodussanvillanue462 жыл бұрын
@@jacobygears2843 I'm Colombian, and a big salsa fan. The thing is, for the most part, you only listen to the most popular songs. This makes her work even more impressive, she's rescuing songs which weren't popular during their time and bringing them to a larger audience. As I said, I listen to salsa a lot and could only recognize 3 of the songs displayed here. However, I can recognize they're amazing songs, and they make me curious to explore new artists, forgotten by time. She's doing God's work, if there is one.
