Hi I’m a BSW graduate and currently been with ACS for 3 years but been in the field for 9. Continue the vlog journey, social workers are too skilled to be limited to one form of helping ppl as well as helping ourselves.

We also have to start doing face to face visits again too. We were just doing face time visits where I’m a case manager ..But if I felt I needed to go out and see some I will.!

Do people still have social workers in 2024? I thought they ended in 1895

So a social worker basically finds resources to people who need it in order to better their lives?? Im still a little confused as to what a social worker does... sorry.
@MyAnhLuong3 жыл бұрын
Hi Angie! I'm sorry for my late response but think of a social worker as a Jack/Jane of all trade. Social Workers are here to advocate for the community they serve (which in many cases are the underserved populations). Social workers link individuals and families to resources in order to help them have a more sustainable way of living. Depending on which path you take as a social worker also determines the services you provide. For example, you can be a social worker with your own private practice once you become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you can work for your local politician and help push for certain laws and regulations in order to help your community. I hope this helps in some way =)
