True, I felt so welcomed by the Burmese people when I was there. It's so sad to see what the government is doing to their people. They should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

Such a clickbait title 😂. Its gas been a war at this borger for like 75 years, and thousands of refugees for decades. The only difference is, it's bigger now. As a photographer many years in this area, Ive been witness to border skirmish from 2003-2020 all along the border from mae sot to mae sai... Ehen drug smugglers and rebels run amd foght over the thai border into thailand towards Tatmadaw. Nothing new just a bit bigger. This is no problem at all for the strongest army in ASEAN who ever, Thailand. Ad on, Dr. Cynthia is a teye hero!

Thailand is far from the strongest lol. They are just as corrupt as Burmese junta. If the fighting spills over, their army will collapse immediately.

Myanmar collapsed since 1988 after failed democracy revolution. Thailand has been benefitting by making illicit business deals with Myanmar Junta. Businesses spanning from scams, human trafficking, drugs, oil & gas etc Myanmar people have since rebuilding the country to become federal democracy

The myanmar war has also spilled across the Indian border. Myanmar is a problematic neighbour. Stability in Myanmar is very important if neighbours want to go about their normal business.

The military has to be/should be removed from power in all countries where they are in "government" in SE Asia, including Thailand. The military puppets in Thailand still control everything

Why do the Thais put up with this? There has to be some pay-offs inside Thailand for this to be allowed.

They're not putting up with it. But sending military forces into Myanmar or starting a war (with either side) is expensive and politically difficult for their new government. They're just hoping for a decisive victory on either side, eventually they'll have to take action but they're hoping they don't have to.

Thailand is forced to be neutral with this predicament. they’ll have to form an alliance with the ethnic forces just in case they win at the end of the day. They also have to be friendly with the military government just in case they don’t end up losing. And Thailand itself isn’t that powerful when it comes to military terms.

Because Thailand is ALSO A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP! Thailand is the country with the most MILITARY COUPS!! People will never have true power. It is only the military and King that has real power 😵‍💫
