In northern Thailand, local people don't called "Lanna language". They called "Kham Muang" (คำเมือง / กำเมือง) . It's a northern Thai dialect similar to Thai dialect but they have some their own word . For example // delicious : Aroi (Thai), Lam (Kham Muang) // Speak : Pud (Thai), Auu (Kham Muang) etc-

You are very right about the food. Normal Thai street vendors and restaurants live on their reputation and are forced out extremely quickly by the locals if they cheat or are dirty. Tourist places don't care, tourists come because of their location and they serve some naïve tourists at double or triple prices and never ever see them again.

I use the action 4. But, i use LOG mode. On regular auto mode, it is so bad. So, log is black and white. you have to color correct it but its easy if you download DJI action 4 LUT. With capcut, you just choose the LUT and then set it to the intensity you want. I can show you by video on Instagram if you DM me. It is SO easy but no videos on youtube for it. They do manual color correction which takes time. I don't do manual. i do auto. I record in 60fps.

Lanna language is also in the Tai-Kadai language family called Tai-Yuan. Laos, Tai-Yai in Shan State, Tai-Dum in Vietnam, Zhuang in Guangxi, etc. are also in Tai-Kadai family. Tai-Siam in Thailand is the biggest Tai-Kadai race, but they understand each other even though they speak different languages.

The Lanna language is still a Thai language and the Lanna people are Thai people. The Lanna language is a local language that they use to communicate with each other but they all speak Central Thai and there are Shan people from Burma mixed in the border area between Thailand and Burma. The Shan people are ethnic Thais who have lived in that area since it was a Thai area in the past until Thailand lost the land to Burma. They became Burmese but have Thai ancestry by the new border.

Actually Lanna people that you looking for also speak Tai-Kadai lang just like people in the central (Laos, Shan state in Myanmar and some part in the north of Vietnam and in the southern China are also Tai-Kadai but it's now much different. Though they most speak their present lang in each country but if we ask about their own dialact there's some words that still similar to ours. Oh.. but Laos is much same as Thais we can almost understand their lang 100% just like Kham Muang or Lanna lang) It's just different on the accent and yes.. some words. But we somehow can understand them anyway. Sawasdee for example, in the north they'll say Sawasdee Jao. Jao is used instead of Ka/Krab to make the sentence more polite. Jao can be used for both man and woman. And if you wanna ask them "How are you?"with Kham Muang Lang then you have to say "Sa buy dee kor" this sentence is like in the central but only change the last word from Mai to Kor which means that sentence is the question. So from now on you can just speak with the central Thai lang but change some words for it to be Kham Muang. However this is just the basic. Thank you! I got a ticket for not having an international driving license. It's my fault. You pay $16 to the police and then you can drive and use that ticket for 3-4 days. After 4 days, the ticket is no longer good and you have to pay again.

The Lanna Kingdom had its center of power in Chiang Mai. It was built by three kings who were close friends. One of them was a great king of Thailand named Ramkhamhaeng who invented the Thai alphabet which is the foundation of the current Thai language. King Ramkhamhaeng was the king of the Sukhothai Kingdom. Which was lower than the Lanna Kingdom. Later, the Sukhothai Kingdom was merged with the new kingdom Ayutthaya. When Ayutthaya fell from the Kongbaung Dynasty of Burma, it was the Chakri Dynasty which built a new capital city in Bangkok. We call this era Rattanakosin. In ancient times, there was a tributary state. The Lanna Kingdom was a tributary state of Rattanakosin. Which was considered an independent state governing itself with a ruler. Until the era of British and French colonization about 150 years ago. The Lanna Kingdom joined the center of Rattanakosin to become Thailand as it is today by marriage. The daughter of the Lanna ruler married King Rama V of Rattanakosin. Lanna therefore combined the cultures of Central Siam and Burma together because at times Lanna was ruled by Burma. Some temples in the Lanna Kingdom were influenced by both Thai and Burmese.

When local people talk to each other we speak dialect but talk to BKK people in central language. For example. Is it delicious. Aroi mai in Bkk, we say Lam kor? Lam=aroi, mai=kor. Have a nice day there. Thai people always said Chiang Mai has everything that Bkk has but Bkk doesn't has what Ching Mai does. Especially nature and surround by the mountain, cold weather in winter. You should use "gum mueang" or "Pasa nue" for Lanna language and "khon mueng" or "khon nue" for Lanna people. "Lanna " has high tone and long vowel for the first syllable and is a very formal term so the policeman didn't catch it. sawaddee krub or sawaddee kub used in both standard Thai and northern Thai by male speakers with different tone. Sawaddee jao used by female speaker.
