Two things... 1) The actual breakdown of the news stories starts at about the 5:25 mark into the video... and 2) The Avengers Infinity War actually opens a week early here in Japan (woo-hoo!) in April; it was the Han Solo movie that opens in May in the States but not until July here in Japan (boo-hoo).

jack ofhearts Jason can vote in the US and U.K. elections since he is a citizen of both. He’s not a Japanese citizen so he can’t vote in Japan.

Thanks for sharing the international (and domestic) headlines! Of both videos, biggest new info for me was the Shogi story. I hadn't heard of it before, and I'm liking what I see in researching it now on Wikipedia. Hopefully your trip to visit your dad goes very well. Four years is a long time, but never too long to return to San Diego. I miss it! Confession: I'm not a huge Beatles fan. I would choose "Yellow Submarine" only because it's the only album title that came to mind. I watched the animated movie a year ago for the first time ... my husband and my roommate (both who had watched the film several times) loved it but i was just "Ehh...." What's your favorite Beatles album, Jason?

This vas very interesting to hear about! I'm suprised japanese people as so interested in European politics like brexit or Macron. I would have expected more events from Asia. The top news here in Sweden where similar but there was also a terrorist attack in Stockholm, a female journalist got murdered chopped up and thrown in the ocean by an eccentric on his private submarine and it was revealed our government had given a ton of classified material about national security to a foreign building company which was a massive fuck up and scandal. Some ministers got fired but many people suspect it was media play to shift the blame from the top who supposedly knew about it but didn't stop it. So sadly not many good news here either... Though a journalist who was kidnapped in Mali 2011 finally got released after many years of negotiations. That at the very least made me happy to see, it's a case many people followed for a long time and he got home healthy and happy :)

Love the video, Jason. I have to disagree somewhat on the politics stuff though. IMO, someone like Le Pen voicing concerns about immigration doesn't automatically make him/her racist, xenophobic, or evil. I feel like it should be every head of states job to look out for the safety and well-being of their own citizens first and foremost. Welp, off my soapbox. Awesome to see you back !
