Your home is always beautiful no matter the season and you did not disappoint with your summer decor!! Love your RAe Dunn and your bees! A quick question….. on your cabinet in the foyer and your hutch you chalk painted old white…. Did you use any thing else on them after the chalk paint or is that all you did? I have a cabinet I want to lighten too- did you distress them at all? Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!!

Hi Susan! After I chalk painted I used Anne Sloan Clear Wax. You just apply with a rag and buff it in. The wax helps protect the finish. I do not distress the pieces I paint, time does a pretty good job of that around here!

So pretty! I have a lantern that I picked up at an antique store in South Carolina, but it always seems to fall flat when I decorate with it. Now I know why after seeing yours! I need to add some flair and will be using yours as inspiration. Do you ever shop in Purcellville? There's a thrift store that sadly is going out of business soon - but last weekend they had a couple of vintage collectable teddy bears (I can't recall the brand, but I know it was/is well known) and seeing yours in this video reminded me of them. Now I need to shop for some ribbon and rewatch your bow tutorial so I can liven up my lantern!
