Bro, please note in India as per NBC-2016 ( National building code ) Lightning protection system like ESE air terminal are banned because it's not scientifically proven to provide protection for radius of 50 meters or more .Also there is no backup from IEC - 62305 standards for ESE Air terminal. So kindly don't mislead people, ESE air terminals are promoted just to make huge profit since ESE are made of stainless steel not copper

Hi bro, njan kettirikunathu lightning arresters nu down conductor ayi itil kanichapolathe insulated thin stranded copper conductors use cheyila ennanu.. onukil solid copper strips of specific thicknes and width(like the one in this video) or single or multiple strands of high gauge solid copper cables (insulated or non insulated ) . reason is current carrying capacity a typical lightning is assumed to be around from atleast 40KV to 200KV or more and a current rating of atleast 5kA or above. So these thin stranded cables individually will overheat or melt/break instantly or overtime even if the overall gauge of the wire is higher. and from the video the printing on the wire says rating of upto 1100V so the risk of failure is higher while the solid copper stip can handle such high surge of current and voltage :).. next best option is aluminium but only as down conductors, and connecting aluminium down conductor to copper air terminal and copper ground terminals should be galvanically coupled to avoid corrosion and increasing resistance. benefit is price, availability and no risk of theft. ESE is not needed at all no extra benefit for customer or their home but only for the dealer and the company.. normal conventional spiked air terminal is more than enough :)

Hey man, this ESE system is not allowed in India as per IS ( even some engineers recommend this due lack of knowledge ( also want to increase the cost of installation, so more commission🤪) and studies says that , building with ese lightning system attract strikes to home, so house without😡 ese arrester is safer .... And these companies are using a threathening marketing method to sell 16000 rated products at a rate of 70000 to lakhs.
