People can not believe the hype if they want but it definitely helps on the course. Ive used a number of different kind of putters and I love my Jailbird Square to Square Putter as its helped me to hole so many more putts, and even if I do push one a bit or something im still in a good spot and have dropped significant strokes.

No, you have to make sure the grip is the same weight OR there is a weight in the butt of the putter. Should be around 100grams total so as long as you got that combo with the grip and added weight in the tip your good.

My understanding is that there's a 30g counterweight at the top of the shaft, NOT grip and the grip is around 66g. That's the best info I can find. So assuming your replacement grip is 66g approx, then your not going to change the balance of the putter.

@GRIFF22 Think the question meant will it affect the balance of the head to keep the square face tech in play. You can Install any normal centralised grip you like and the head balance is not changed

Using Ai makes significant impact on performance, in this instance it is the architecture of putter faces, we can look at strike patterns (even the best players mishit putts) and then use machine learning (Ai) to create 1000's of iterations of face design, improving each time. This allows us to change the thickness of the face in range of locations and that in turn changes how the the ball deflects on impact and helps to average out ball speed, so you have more consistent distance control.

There is quite a bit of shaft lean, adjusting ball position may help as well. The putter is designed to set your hands forward. A lot of great putters do that.

Lab putter will never be original. They offer more customization with hefty price based on concepts existed before. I believe in the technology but difference is miniscule that can't justify the price point. People claiming reducing 5+ stroke with whatever putter were flat out bad putter in the first place. Easy to shave 5+ stroke from 40+ down to mediocre 35.

because the amount of torque created by swinging a putter a few inches is. near nothing. Try this test, grab your putter with two fingers at the very tip, and swing your putter back and forth like a pendulum. Do you feel any twisting? probably not. Once you grip the putter fully, there's no way you're feeling any torque.

when people in general are selling an idea, they use words that sound good. but if i listen closely they are just saying words that don't really make sense. because there isn't any real science or engineering behind it. they just golfer who want to believe or just sell? i like the video's when they are in the so-called Lab. because they are showing science with cameras to show the science. even with all of the science there is always the human condition, swinging too hard, too easy, etc, etc. I am one of the those people who just want to believe and hope it will help my golf game. As someone who started playing golf over 35yrs when i got clean N sober. i needed a new healthy drug or addiction what ever you want to call it. my philosophy is that is it as good a drug or addiction as i could have.
