PABLO honestly is the best composer, lyricist I've seen. His mind and vulnerability combined...its magical. It will hit you straight to your heart.. The world deserves to hear all the songs he composed. He composed this song years ago. This is during those times when they are just starting. They are giving everything they have and all they get are not praises. They only have each other to talk to. No one is listening to their cry even if they see it in their own eyes or hear it directly from them. Those were tough times and these five will never forget. Thats why until now they stayed grounded.❤

When you said about “a label that’s like controlling them,” you got it right. They felt so constrained before with the former company, not really able to express their true musicality and goal. On top of that, they were under strict rules (a thing that is like what some Korean entertainment companies are known for) as in they were shamed in public, made to work even when really sick, not given salary for months, etc. But they had to hold on since they knew it was the (lime) light they were seeking. A staff took pity on them and sneaked them into a carnival one night so they could unwind and recoup even for just a while, and that is why the carousel is so symbolic to them that they used it as backdrop in Freedom and in other videos. 😊 Hope you get to react to more of their songs.

That’s the best thing about SB19 songs, so meaningful and there’s always an “easter egg” hidden. You have to dig deep to their songs and be mind blown when you get the true meaning of the lyrics and metaphors and how they sing each lines. Truly a masterpiece. Ilaw in Tagalog means Light or Lamp. This song is the group expression of their struggles before they are being recognized. Even how hard they tried before, they were just judged as another copycat. But they never stopped even they are already at the edge of being disbanded. They made each other as their inspiration. Until they produced their own and first song Tilaluha (literally means ‘seems like tears’) and further boosted their recognition with their ‘Go Up’ song. And now their hardships had been paid up.
