As much as people joke about how emo this song is, I really think the lyrics are genius. They're not just about the pain of his loss (which btw, this song is about his grandma Helen passing), they're actively talking about how much of a joy she was to everyone around her, how much just one person gave to this world. Not just to him either, but to the entire crowd attending the funeral. The scene of her getting out of her coffin, the world frozen to her as a ghost, giving one last goodbye to everyone who loved her.

I remember the backlash MCR got back in the day. Yeah, some of their fans were cringey and the videos were a bit over the top, but MCR had a really unique sound that blended Goth, alternative, punk, metal and glam rock. Gerard Way is a very charismatic and talented frontman too.
