I just happily discovered you and am I GLAD I did. I just started coloring this page. I have taken many tutorials from different people. There style of presentation that you provide outdone ALL tutorials I have done to date. Some do not provide the colors. Some of them are on speed mode, some of them provide the colors they use but skips a few steps in coloring a particular scene and you do not get to see them work with colors. It just fades in, leaving you to figure out how they got there. Your way of coloring is excellent. You fly by other instructors with flying colors. (No pun intended). Thank you so much for understanding what the not so experienced colorist really wants. Simply wonderful. Your coloring is beautiful, and with your showing literally step-by-step and providing the number and name of pencil you use. That is so very nice of you. I will be doing a lot more tuts of yours. Thank you.

Prismacolor should sponsor you and show your videos on their website. This is a perfect demonstration of how beautifully these pencils blend. Even when you put down some fairly harsh lines, you're able to go over it with other colors and just blend things together nice and smoothly. You're an amazing colorist who very clearly knows how to use your pencils! Bravo!

I have started this page in my very first Johanna Basford book. 🎉 You’re the best I’ve found to explain blending. YAY! I have the Castle Art large set, so I’m using the conversion chart. I have a few Prisma, but I seem to work better with CA. I do not have a visionary brain, therefore I’d love to see more color combos done with Castle Art. 😊 Thank you for teaching me. ❤

Can anyone tell me why watching this is so satisfying and calming to my poor ADHD-riddled brain? One might think it would be boring, but I’m glued to the screen. I don’t want to miss a minute. The only problem? I want to have all the books and colors and be as good as she is RIGHT NOW! That’s impossible, and even if I had all the materials, they would sit unused for a very long time while I watched more videos and studied. It’s very hard to begin a project. However, coloring is something I’ve always wanted to learn. I think it would be a great fun and satisfying obsession. Thank you for making these videos. There’s no telling how many lives you’ve saved. My own being at least one!

Well, this isn’t Julie’s channel, and this isn’t Julie, so this person does it their way. We’re all lucky she generously spends her time recording her coloring so that we can follow along, why not just be happy and appreciative that she even does that?
