My husband and I were listening to this music whilst driving home in our car and he said I want this music played at my funeral. Little did we know 18months later my husband passed and I had it played as his coffin entered the church as requested. We were married 60 wonderful years and had our Diamond wedding anniversary and 6 months later this music was played as he requested. The love of my life till we meet again darling somewhere in time 💜

There's something beyond beautiful seeing a grown man in love. Many men cover it up, as if they're ashamed to show that one emotion God gives us to fall in love with the perfect girl. This is the one movie that shows a man's tender side. Christopher Reeve was able to convey it through his eyes, facial expressions and body mannerisms of a man hopelessly in love with his perfect woman. And let's be honest, Jane Seymour was never more beautiful than in Somewhere in Time. I'm glad many others love this movie as I do. Somewhere in Time is a gorgeous love story from a man's point of view of falling in love without shame. Like all love stories, one has to go first. Seeing Christopher Reeve grieve and dying from love is so poignant and heartbreaking. Yet more beautiful, even death couldn't separate them. Both of them together in Heaven, their love will be forever and in love forever. I like to think it's really like that in Heaven.

My husband showed me this movie shortly after we married in 2015 and it has held such a special place in my heart that love 💞has no end truly. I eventually learned to play this song by ear on the piano and thought to surprise him with it, one day he walked in from our garden with a bouquet of roses and irises we planted when we moved in to our 1925 Craftsman, and heard me softly playing this on my 1895 Victorian Starr upright piano. He had no idea I had been learning it, I then heard him sniff so I turned and saw him crying. He put the flowers in a vase and put them on the piano next to an oval photo frame of us holding hands with a rose🌹 clasped between our hands. This song played at our vow renewal 3 years later. Come September 14, 2021 we celebrate 6 years married and will continue to do so as long as we can :)

What about the beautiful setting? It was filmed on Mackinac Island in Michigan. No motor vehicles are allowed on the island, only horse driven carriages and bicycles roam the streets. Victorian homes are nestled in the hills of this charming island. That place really takes you back in time. That's the Grand Hotel on Macknac Island. It's gorgeous and magnificent.

We both were 16 at the time. She has since passed, Oh! How I miss her, and wish that I could have married her. My love for her never goes away.

“Somewhere in Time” is my all-time favorite romantic movie with handsome Christopher Reeve and exquisite Jane Seymour. Character Richard portrays every woman’s dream of a sensitive romantic gentleman and Elise epitomizes every man’s dream woman of sheer mystic beauty. Set in Victorian time at this beautiful hotel by the sea - no setting could be more romantic. The movie is very dreamy, intense and emotional and touches the core of one’s heart. You can’t help feeling through his eyes, all of Richard’s emotions and obsessive love for this woman. I think we all desire finding this great love in our lives. Because of my admiration for Ms. Seymour, I had the pleasure of meeting her in person when she was promoting her book on design at a high-end furniture store in my area. She was kind to take a photo with me and mailed me an autographed copy of her book, which they ran out at the promotion. And as a big fan of Christopher, was so saddened of his terrible injury and when he passed. Then even more shocked when his beloved wife, Dana, died so young as well of lung cancer, but both reunited together again as soul mates in heaven, just like Richard & Elise.
