That was my wife’s favorite song. On the way home from her funeral I was driving her car and I reached up and turned on the CD to listen to music and this came on causing me to pull over for a few minutes. It was like she was telling me she was still with me. I listen to it at least once every two weeks and remember our good times. My beloved MD I miss you.

When my oldest sister was sick with cancer, she insisted that we watch the movie over and over when I would come to take care of her. Her husband had just passed away 18 months before her and it was their favorite movie. When she died at the age of 49 we played Somewhere In Time theme music at her funeral. When I hear this beautiful music it doesn't make me sad. Instead it brings back the sweet memories of watching the movie with her.

My wife and I watched this beautiful movie together, so heart wrenching couldn't talk just held her hand and kissed it often until the movie ended. My beautiful wife went to Heaven in December 2020. She was 76 and I'm 67. How I truly wish that like in the movie I could travel back in time 💔 We're from Chicago and one of our most memorable trips was driving to Copper Harbor Michigan. Now this movie and wonderful music is so much more meaningful and heart stopping. I know that men aren't supposed to cry but the pain anguish and suffering of losing half of my soul (the better half) is so unbearable that I'm not ashamed to admit that there hasn't been a day that I haven't cried for my beautiful wife. She died in December leaving me alone to die every single day since 💔

@@danielc.8875 I haven't paid much attention in the last 10-15 years, but Hollywood has a long history with some fairly despicable males in leading roles, all the way back to Charlie Chaplin and other silent stars. Reeve was one of the few true gentle people in that industry. Personality disorders abound in Hollywood, especially Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and they aren't the worst but their not far behind the worst (Bill Cosby is considered a sexually violent predator), Michael Douglas is accused of sexual harassment, Richard Dreyfus exposed himself to a female writer, Morgan Freeman has been accused by 8 different people, Dustin Hoffman was accused by a 17 year old girl of inappropriate behavior. Woody Allen. Kevin Spacey. George Takei. Jeffrey Tambor. Sylvester Stallone. Ben Vareen. That is just some of the leading men over age 60. There are just as many under the age of 60 who are equally as bad. Director James Toback (73) has over 300 accusers. There are many other directors. Roman Polanski comes to mind, as does Woody Allen. Go into television and you have Charlie Rose with several accusers, David Letterman with several accusers. Matt Lauer with several accusers. Go into classical music and you have several conductors from James Dutut (81) of the London Royal Philharmonic to NY Met Opera conductor James Levin (75). Go into ballet and you have The American School of Ballet having to "remove" longtime ballet chief Peter Martins (71). Go into photography and you have another whole list of men over 60, each with several accusers. Don't get me started on the male comedians, as the list is long, long, long. There are a lot of men in the world, sadly from young to elderly, who have spent their lives preying on the vulnerable, exploiting their employees, students, assistants, and even prepubescent children. If you wanna read something truly disturbing read about Tom Sizemore (age 59). The 11-year old girl is now an adult and has pressed charges since her parents dropped the charges back in 2003. www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/tom-sizemore-was-removed-movie-set-allegedly-violating-11-year-old-girl-1057629/ There are a lot of very, very disturbed and entitled men in the world, and the very sad thing is that most women and girls do NOT report what happens to them. These are just a few cases where there are multiple accusers. There are some good men left, but not as many as we would hope. Ron Howard comes to mind. Tom Hanks comes to mind. Then you have the males in Hollywood who had fake marriages and lived double lives with young gay male lovers. They weren't predators, but they sure were dishonest.

Something else that has added to the sadness of the whole story is when his wife, Dana, died only 17 months after he did. I was completely shocked about her death. Now, I just like to think of how they met in the clouds, running to each other, whole and healthy again, like in the end of the movie, never to be parted again. Okay, I'm crying now.

But there are some other great films: "Iron Will" (1994), Duel of Hearts (1991), (1961) "La princesse de Clèves"; "Rebecca" (2008), with Hitchcock (1940), but I liked the Italian adaptation (2008) better. "Il boia di Venezia" (1963), "Monsignore" (1982), "Sitting Pretty" (1948); "La dame de Monsoreau" (1971) .... many wonderful films, some of them forgotten, some kept in private collections and never seen on the "big screens"... and that's a pity...
