С точки зрения конструкции одежды ва абсолютно правы, но я заметила что в переделке готового изделия другие правила. Стараешься переделать с минимальным расходом времени .

I have been altering regular pants since the flare pants (remember the 60's!!!) and I always work equally on both the inside and the outside seams. It balances the pants and doesn't affect the fit. Of course, on jeans that are stretching, I only work on the inside seams.

Не думаю, что это хороший способ, на декоративном шве появилась излишняя толщина, как по мне лучше делать с наружной стороны, где нет декоративного шва

Я тоже делаю по наружному шву, как правило, это не даёт сколько - нибудь заметного перекоса, а предложенный метод я бы не использовала, потому что он заметно утолщает шов. Ради интереса взяла старые джинсы, широким стежком прощила, чтобы легко было распороть, а на другой штанине прошла наружный шов. Получилось намного лучше, ничего особо не перетягивает и нет между ног толщины. Мне удивительно, по, ему столько хороших отзывов. Наверное е, кто пишет самом деле так не делали и не понимают, что получится

As a professional seamstress I find that altering the seam that isn't French stitched is so much easier!! And even with pressing you can see a small bulge!

It very much depends on the cut. If it has a slight flare, if you only do one side the other one will stick out. Each case is a case.....

@@Velavoke inside or outside, a leg seam is STILL a leg seam! Reworking the French seam which is far more fabric & bulkier isn't the best choice! And, of course, you're going to alter the leg shape!! Isn't that what the entire objective of the alterations are??!!

Look up the videos on keeping the original hem. She cut off the hem with the top stitching. You can serge it back on and top stitch as in those videos.

Hola, muy profesional e interesante, genial técnica con perfecta costura. Me encanta esa técnica ( la guardé), nunca la había visto en ningún tutorial ni costurera, no la conocía ni la imaginé. I love this, the thing with light wash jeans is that their out seam has this bleached design to it so when you know jeans you can always tell it's been tapered but with this skill it's very neat and nobody can tell 👌🏽👌🏽

Why don't you just take them in on the other side with out the top stitch? It's how I do mine.

It depends on the shape of the jeans. If you wanted close fit from boot cut, you'd do it both ways. (Or don't buy boot cut!😂)

Lo estas haciendo del lado contrario, hazlo del lado de la costura sencilla y solo necesitaras hacer una sola costura. Antes solo mide en contorno del pie lo que sobra y escuadra hasta desvanecer en o la linea en la rodilla; estas trabajando de mas y esas costuras que hiciste haran muy grueso e incomodo ese lado del pantalón.🤦🏾‍♀️
