Being a commuter was definitely a struggle to me and getting the real college experience. I felt incredibly disconnected and had to work a lot so there wasn’t much I could do to change that. If I could do it over I would def do it differently. This makes me wanna go back 😢

This video gave some good advice! I decided to stay home for the year as a first-time freshman at WVU Tech in Beckley, WV because room and board is so expensive and I don't want student loans but I'm planning to attend WVU in Morgantown maybe next year or the year after next. I only live 15 minutes away from campus, so I'm commuting and hopefully I'll be more connected to campus life than other commuters that live an hour or so away from where they go to college.

I'm not really a commuter but it takes me 1 hour to get to university. Spending so much time on trains and busses is so annoying. I try to use the time for reading or listening to podcasts/ audiobooks but it still feels like so much wasted time.

This is my 4th year of college and I am a 2nd year transfer at OSU. My first year at OSU was rough bc I was mostly going to work and class and that's it. I don't know if you are already planning on doing a video like this or not, but can you do a video on how to condense your stuff for college? I have a pretty big pile that I am bringing with me and some of that stuff is like storage stuff, rugs, mirrors, but then I have smaller items too and I don't know I to condense it to a smaller, more manageable pile of stuff. this would be really helpful if you did a video like that

I used to commute to college ( now I am a full-time online student)... and I commuted by bus ( I can not drive because of my autism) my biggest tip is to get a wallet that has an ID place in the front ( so if the bus takes student IDs as a discount off bus fares) than at least it saves time from fishing the ID out of purses/bags ( because some bus drivers are nasty and will yell at you for taking up time). Also, bring an umbrella and a pocket knife with you at all times. Don't talk to strangers.

All my life Ive heard don't take 8am's and I agree I don't wanna take 8am classes but guess what. I couldn't afford to go straight to a university so Im going to a cc. Then I got waitlisted for housing at the main campus of that cc 2 hours away. I don't even live in that community colleges district. So I decided ill go to a satellite campus only 20 minutes away. I took College Algebra & Trig in High School and The next math I need for my major is Calculus 1. Guess what time the only in person calculus 1 class is, 8 in the fucking morning😐. And u wanna know what is funny. My counties local community college is a hour away but 1 of its satellite campuses is right across the fucking road from my house and next door to mine & my lil bros high school. Ill be taking my lil bro to school everyday then driving 20 minutes away for class.😭But its ok bc the cc I'm gonna attend is amazing and I'm in love with it. my mom also went to the exact same campus every morning after dropping me and my bro off at school an hour and a half away. So if my mom can do it, then I can too. Shits wild

As an campus resident on a mostly commuter school (85% y'all) the college experience/involvement is tough. I stay on campus bc of all my classes, orchestra, and all that music major jazz, but lots of my classmates just leave after classes, so campus is *bare* and the school practically begs us to go to sporting events 😂 I briefly thought of transferring bc of the lack of involvement, but kudos to those commuters! I bet it's not easy
