I've added a CT clamp to the feed from my solar array but the icon for the array is has not appeared on the my phone app. How do I get the app to register that I have a sensor for energy generated by the array?

You need to configure the Zappi and tell it what the Ct clamp is doing I’m not sure if the menu structure has changed since but it should be in settings- advanced- Ct config then select the ct 1 or 2 and then select what it should be e.g. generation only. Then it should show up in the app automatically

Hello,can I use only the Hub and Harvi together? I have 9kwh solar array. My interes is to have myenergy monitoring app in my phone. I don't have eddi or zappi charger yet.

I think they are specific to MyEnergi so you have to buy their CT clamps.

Ah yes, it’s connected to the network but I don’t think I can feed that in to the myenergi stuff

if i have 1 phase but two cables incoming from the meter box to the consumer unit where the solar feed is.(historical reasons with economy 7 and cash meters) You can not have two grid ct so can i put one larger ct clamp round both incoming cables and will it still measure accurately?

You could try but I’m not sure if you can get them. a harvi unit could be installed in the meter box to attach to the single cable in there.

@@eviain that was the other option but then need to run ct clamp back in to the consumer unit in the house to pick up solar panel feeds, i wondered whether the MYENERGI 100a 24mm Transformer c/w 5M Cable would fit round two and still work?

Is your Zappi a v1 or v2? I ask as my v1 Zappi only has allowance for two CT clamps wheras yours has allowance for three.

Brilliant. Thanks. I have a CT clamp tied up on the house battery and, like you, would like one for solar generation. Would all 3 CT clamps go to the Harvie or do some go to the Zappie and some to the Harvie? I assume that 3 (Harvie), and not 5 (Harvie + Zappi), is the maximum that the system can handle.

John Rogers it’s a very flexible system you can have CT clamps on both harvi and Zappi in use as needed/most convenient. Check out my home set up video. It takes you through how mine is set up

Thanks Iain. A great house setup. I am installing a Hub on Tuesday and depending on how useful I find the app may install a Harvie for the extra CT clamp. I find the Zappi brilliant and, because of my 13.25 kWh pv am am able to charge my 10 kWh house battery and 75 kWh car battery with 100% green power. It takes a few days for the car now that it's winter. No need for an Eddie as I have heat pump hot water.

you need 1 CT for 1 phase, and 3 CT for 3 phase (3 for just 1 cable data)?

Err if I understand the question. Yes if you have 3 phase power you would need 3 CT. if you have single phase you only need 1 ct clamp at each point in your system. If you want to measure different loads like solar then you will probably need atleast two CT clamps to measure what comes from the solar and the total in and out of the house. Correct only 3. So you would need to use ct clamps on Zappi eddi or buy another harvi

There is a discrepancy between what my app says I am consuming from the grid and what the meter says. The meter says I am consuming more.

Go with your meter numbers, if there’s a large discrepancy then maybe worth contacting myenergi

@@eviain I think it could be because the wire from my meter to my consumer unit leaves very little space for the CT clamp - so there could be interference. I am going to replace that wire with a longer one, so that the ct clamp is isolated from the other cables.

I've got exactly the same trouble my installers fitted a Solis inverter for the PV and a Solax gateway for my Battery Charging and the Solax App doesn't show PV Generation, so the charging of my Battery is cocked up, I'm fed up of pestering my installers to fit me a secondary CT Clamp so it shows PV 😢😢

Sadly a lot of installers are overwhelmed at the moment still should be a simple job for them so they should be looking after you 😕

Hi Ian . Buy yourself a Solis wifi stick , it will show you pv generation and battery .
